The Marshall Street Hollywood Style Pro Skins Match will be an intimate, one round event held the Monday directly after the MVP Open, featuring four of the top professional disc golfers in the world. These players will compete in a skins style competition with a value of $200 per hole, as well as some other cash prizes along the way.
Hollywood Format
Hollywood format is a thought provoking and strategic method of playing disc golf that was invented by Massachusetts local legend Sam Henderson. Hollywood can only be played at courses like Pyramids that have two basket option on each hole, a long and short layout. Essentially, players can choose to play to either basket on any given hole. Completing a hole on the longer basket grants the player half a stroke off of their score. For example, a 2 on the shorter basket is written as a 2, but a 2 on the longer basket is written as a 1.5. This method of play incentivizes players to go for harder shots to get a lower score, and adds another layer of complexity to a round of disc golf.
