This is a 2-day PDGA-sanctioned C-Tier event at Wally Wurld DGC in East Wallingford, VT.
Marathon on the mountain 2 - October 7 & 8, 2023
This is a two day, two round, tee-time event at Wally Wurld DGC for Pros and Ams. First round is on Saturday, October 7th and final round on Sunday, October 8th. Camping is available for the weekend at Wally Wurld. More information is below.
ALL DIVISIONS PLAY THE SAME LAYOUT
On UDisc: “Wally Wurld.” Par 73 10,489 feet
EVENT FEES:
The entry fee for this event varies by division.
From each entry, the following will be deducted:
- $3 to the PDGA
- The remainder of each Pro entry will be applied directly to cost of awards and to the payout for that division.
- The remainder of each Amateur entry will be used to cover the cost of their player pack, division awards and then applied to the payout for that division.
PAYOUTS
Pro Payouts: We will payout 40% of the Pro divisions. Payouts will be issued via Paypal or Venmo within 48 hours of completion of the event.
Amateur Payouts: We will payout 45% of the Amateur divisions. All amateur divisions play for merchandise credit at Disc Golf 978.
AWARDS
Winners will be announced on Sunday approximately 15 minutes after the last card of MPO. Followed by the traditional Cash Jar CTP from the deck.
There are no trophies for this event besides the awesome sense of pride
PLAYERS PACKS
After registration close, all AM players registered will receive a $20 credit to DG978 to pick your own player pack. This can be used towards any purchase at DG978 and is not limited to $20.
Players also have the option to buy a Marathon on the Mountain 2 cotton tee for $15 (if purchased with registration). There will be a small selection of extra tees from MotM2 and MotM1 available for purchase at the event. Players registered after September 23rd will receive their shirts after the event when an additional order will be placed.
TEE TIMES
Round 1 will be posted before the event after registration closes.
Round 2 will be posted Saturday night and announced in camp.
PLAYERS MEETING
Players will receive an email with all event information.
CHECKIN
All players are expected to arrive at least 30 minutes before the posted tee time. When arriving for your tee time, please go directly to the shed and check in with a tournament official.
DIGITAL SCORING

CAMPING
Camping will be available for the weekend at Wally Wurld for $10. There will be a porta-potty available near the camping area.
Please follow signs to camping area and drive slowly to ensure wet areas are not damaged.

Refund policy
All refunds will follow the PDGA Policy in 1.03 of the Competition Manual (https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/103). A $10 fee will be assessed to all refund requests as outlined in the PDGA Policy.
