About this tournament

THIS EVENT IS FULL... but feel free to check back to see if anyone drops out.

Bring a friend, or meet a new one! Come play Best Shot Doubles during the MVP Space Race at The Links of Wheeler Park and pick up some sweet limited edition discs by MVP brands!

Register online prior to the event, spots are limited and may fill up. Walk-up registration on the day of the event cannot be guaranteed. If you have any questions send me a private message or post your inquiry on the Comments tab.

The Links at Wheeler Park is a beautiful park style course with generous fairways and modest obstacles on almost every hole, fun for all skill levels. A light will be attached to every target basket to assist navigation in the dark.

This will be a 3 disc challenge, only the discs included in the player pack will be permitted for play in this event.

PLAYER'S PACK
Each participant will receive a player's pack containing the following 2 discs, plus a bonus disc choice, because the set didn't feel complete without a midrange.

- Streamline Eclipse Range - Putt and Approach
( 2 | 1 | -0.5 | 1)
- Axiom Total Eclipse Crave - Fairway Driver
( 6.5 | 5 | -1 | 1 )

BONUS 3rd DISC
- Streamline Eclipse Echo - Mid-range Driver
( 5 | 5 | -0.5 | 1 )
OR
- Axiom R2/Eclipse Hex- Mid-range Driver
( 5 | 5 | -1 | 1 )

NOTE: your preferred selection is not guaranteed depending on disc availability at the time I place the order, but I will do my best!

The retail value of the 3 discs meets or exceeds the registration cost!

DO YOU LIKE WATERMELON?
You may optionally purchase this year's coveted Watermelon Pitch disc by Axiom when you register.

GLOW-GEAR!
You may want to order a UV flashlight when you register. These UV Flashlights are MUCH more effective at charging up glow discs than standard flashlights.

DON'T HAVE A PARTNER?
Doubles event participants register separately or together and indicate their preferred team mate by negotiating an awesome team name by which they swear their allegiance to one another. If you don't have a partner and want to be matched with someone new (possibly at random), register and you will be matched with another unpaired individual in time for the event. Indicate "GLOWIN IT ALONE" in the Team Name registration field.

SCHEDULE

6:45PM Tee-Time, shotgun start w/ 2 teams per card.

TOURNAMENT RULES
- Best Shot Doubles: Each player on a team throws from the tee or lie. Team chooses the most advantageous of the two resulting lies and both players throw their next shots from that lie. The hole is complete once either player's disc comes to rest in the target, only one disc required to make the final shot.
- All players may only use the 3 discs supplied in the player's pack for the competition. There is no need to bring your own discs.
- On or over paved path is Out of Bounds, 1 stroke penalty.
- On or over street is Out of Bounds, 1 stroke penalty.
- Out of bounds penalties are to promote safety. Do not throw a disc if it is possible it will hit someone if it goes off target. Wait a few minutes until other people are a safe distance away if necessary.
- There are no hazard penalties for this course, play it where it lies if not OB.
- Win or lose with a good attitude and have fun!

AWARDS
A short award ceremony will be conducted at the Hole 6 Pavilion after the last group of players turns in their score card.
There will be at least 12 discs by MVP Lab 2nd up for grabs! If participation numbers are good, plan on seeing even more prizes! These prizes will be distributed to:
- Players with best scores
- CTPs on select holes (announced at player's meeting)

WHERE'S MY MONEY GOING?
Proceeds from this event will be donated to a charitable organization of the TD's spouse's discretion. Still working on determining the beneficiary, more info to come.
With the desire to raise money for a good cause, there will not be quite as much budget to spend on giveaways and cash prizes as my previous events.
Like my previous events, this is intended to be a zero-profit venture in the spirit of spreading the love of disc golf.

NOTICE
- It will be dark. Having a flashlight with you is not a bad idea. TIP: red light is great for illuminating your path without messing up your night vision.
- If conditions are wet, muddy, and/or slippery, some holes will be modified for the event for safety reasons. Let's hope for clear weather with dry conditions and moonlight.
- This is NOT a closed-course event. The park will be open to the public during the round to other disc-golfers, families, bikers, dog-walkers, etc. Be courteous to our fellow park patrons!
- Participants may be required to sign a standard release of liability form typical of sporting events. Any player under the age 18 should have a parent/guardian available when checking in to sign on their behalf.
- Please adhere to local laws and ordinances regarding alcohol and drug use.
