About this tournament
This tournament is being held as a fundraiser for the Vienna Recreation Youth Disc Golf League. This league is an instructional league that focuses on introducing and teaching youth about the game of disc golf. We have designed this league in a way that it is fun for any skill level. This league is currently open grades 1st -12th.
Location
- Jackson Park DGC is an 18 hole mostly wooded course located off Rosemar Road in Vienna, WV. This course has short (red) and long (white) tees on every hole.
Format
- One round singles 18 holes from red (short) tees.
- Tee off will be at 7 p.m. and hole assignments will be given out prior to players meeting.
- Special rules and scoring apply to this tournament. See below.
Rules
- Players will are only permitted to use the two discs they receive in their players pack: Axiom Total Eclipse Crave and Streamline Eclipse Range.
- Players only receive two throws per hole; one with each disc.
- Players must have at least three to a card, but no more than six.
- This tournament is not a PDGA sanctioned event, but PDGA rules still apply.
- All participants are expected to abide by the spirit of all PDGA rules in helping to provide a welcoming, nurturing, and educational competitive environment.
- Experienced players are to be supportive of newer players while maintaining the integrity of the competitive format.
Additional Rules for Juniors
- Any player younger than 13 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian regardless of the division they play in.
- A single parent or guardian may be responsible for multiple junior players in the same group if agreed upon by all of the parents/guardians prior to the start of the round.
- Junior players 13-18 years of age may be accompanied by a parent or guardian during tournament round.
- Parents and guardians must adhere to PDGA rule 1.13 Youth Safety.
Scoring
- All players will be given a paper scorecard but only one card needs to be turned in after round is complete.
- Each player must review scorecard being submitted for accuracy prior to being turned in.
- uDisc can be used but one paper scorecard must still be submitted.
Special Rules for Play and Scoring
- Players receive 2 throws per hole. Both throws can be from the tee pad OT a player can throw 1 disc from the tee pad and throw their second shot from the lie of the first disc.
- Players can switch their method of play per hole.
- A player’s turn is over after they throws their second shot.
- A player’s score is calculated after their turn is over using the following points system.
Points System
5 points per Ace
3 points for hitting chains
1 point for hitting any other metal on the basket
In the event of a tie
- No ties for first place will be permitted.
- An extra CTP will be played to break a first place tie. (No other "prize" or "award" will be attached to this particular CTP effort).

Awards
- No cash prizes/awards - Lab 2nd discs will be awarded to the top finishers in each division.
- CTP contest for each division (no extra cost)
