About this tournament

Luv Dubs is an alternate shot doubles event for all Lovers of Disc Golf! This event was created to get more Ladies competing on the disc golf field. Ladies, grab your partner, friend, sister, brother, mother, or someone you find on the course and join us for this wonderful doubles event! Each team must have at least one lady to participate.

Putter Olympics:

Putter Olympics is a putters-only competition wherein players will play independently on a course consisting of putts and short approaches with one putter of your choosing. (choose one of your own putters and use it for the entire Putter Olympics) Points will be awarded for players in the following format:

3 points to every player who makes the putt
2 points to every player who hits metal
1 point awarded to the person closest to the pin if no one hits metal or makes the putt

Players with the highest points per card will be awarded a Bird Cage Voucher.

LuvDubs Round:

The basic format and rules will be the same this year as in years past. This is a non-sanctioned doubles event.

Doubles teams for this event must consist of one lady and a partner of their choice.

Alternate Shot Doubles - two players will take turns playing from subsequent lies, starting with the tees-hot and ending with holing-out. A schedule will be in place to determine which member of the team will take the tee-shot for each hole.

Example: Player A is scheduled for the tee-shot. Player B then throws/putts from where the tee-shot landed. If the hole is not finished, Player A takes the next shot. Play continues in this manner until the hole is completed. The person who starts the next hole is determined by the tee-shot schedule.

Division Selection:

Selecting the most appropriate division is dependent upon BOTH players' skill levels. Essentially, you are going to take the average skill level of your team and register there. It's not going to be perfect. Please use your best judgement.

Ex: MPO player and an FA1 player would be Advanced.

EX: MA1 and FA3 would be Intermediate.

EX: FPO and MA2 could be Advanced, but maybe Intermediate if the MA2 player is on the lower end of the division.
