Level 48's 6th annual Ice Bowl Tournament fundraiser and food drive for Food for Lake County. They do a LOT for our small community, so we love being able to help them in a time of year that is traditionally a slow donation time for them. ALL donations and money earned will go directly to Food for Lake County!
This year's event will be just like last year's. We will be playing a 27 hole, Singles stroke play format. 18 hole first round on Sopo Silver layout, then Final 9 holes on original Blue layout to the original baskets.
Trophies will be awarded to each divisions winner, and medals to 2nd & 3rd. Divisions will be: Advanced, Intermediate, and Ladies. This event is focused on fun and giving, but hey, competition is healthy too!
Registration will be morning of the event. $45 (cash only) plus as much non-perishable food items you can spare to donate. Feel free to add yourself to the players list, and mark as not paid just to show support of coming. There will also be an optional $5 one day ace pot. If it does not get won during play, we will do a closest to the pin competition where the winner of that will collect that cash prize. I expect to have special Ice Bowl super color Buzzz's for sale. They are the perfect momento for the occasion!
Registration fee also will get you a sweet players pack (usually worth more than the registration fee!), and your chance at several C.T.P. prizes during the first round of play (usually discs and accessories of some sort).
This has easily turned into my favorite event of the year! We always get a great turnout, have a great time, and do a fantastic job achieving the mission at hand! I'm impressed every year how a small group of disc golfers can do so much, while having such a good time doing something that many would call crazy! Bundle up, and let's throw some discs!
