Announcing the 1st (hopefully annual) non-PDGA-sanctioned LEAVENWORTH HUCKTOBERFEST Disc Golf Tournament & Fundraiser on Saturday, October 26th at the Leavenworth Golf Course in Leavenworth, WA. The Leavenworth Disc Golf Club is joining forces with the Leavenworth Golf Club to host the event on the front 9 of their beautiful 18-hole traditional golf course set along the Wenatchee River with picturesque views of the Cascade Mountains. Players will compete for the lowest combined score from 2 rounds on Saturday. The top 3 players in each division will receive cash winnings from their division and there will be lots of other non-cash prizes. Player packs will include an Innova Discs custom stamped tournament disc and several other smaller things like stickers, pencils, etc.

This tournament will be the second disc golf event in 2019 and continues the effort to show the Leavenworth Golf Club that disc golf can successfully coincide with traditional golf as is being shown on other courses around the country. A portion of the registration fees will go to the Friends of Northwest Hatcheries, the 501(c)3 nonprofit that is behind the nationally-recognized Wenatchee River Salmon Festival in Leavenworth that promotes natural resources education and stewardship to students and the public every September. Additional funds from Sponsors and the raffle will go towards the Leavenworth Disc Golf Course Fund.

DIVISIONS:
- MPO, FPO, MP40, MA1, MA2, FA2, MA3, FA3
- MPO, MP40, FPO, and MA1 will play both rounds from long tees. MA2 will play 1 round from short tees and 1 round from long tees. MA3, FA2, FA3 will play both rounds from short tees.

LAYOUT - The 18 hole layout for this tournament will be similar to the Leavenworth Disc Golf Spring Open that occurred earlier this year in April, with a few small improvements. The course map will be posted to the event.

GOLF CARTS - Golf carts may be available for rent for an additional $10/round, weather and course condition dependent.

ACCOMMODATIONS - Icicle Village Resort, located less than a mile from the course, has set aside some rooms at a discounted rate of $149/night for Friday Oct 25th and Sat Oct 26th. Give them a call at 800-961-0162 and mention the disc golf tournament with the Leavenworth Disc Golf Club to make your reservation at this special rate. The resort offers a complimentary hot breakfast buffet (it’s really good!), indoor pool and hot tub, JJ Hills Fresh Grill (restaurant and bar), and the Alpine Spa. The Players Party on the evening of Friday Oct 25th will also be on the resort grounds.

Leavenworth has lots of options from hotels, motels, resorts, cabins, etc but October is a busy time of year in town. This tournament will be held on the last weekend of October, after the popular Leavenworth Oktoberfest events have ended (those are the first 3 weekends of Oct) so there will be more availability in town than any other Oct weekend.

PLAYER PACKS - All players will receive an Innova custom-stamped disc with the tournament graphic, and several smaller things like stickers, mini-pencils, etc.

PRACTICE ROUNDS - The goal is to have the course set up by 1pm on Friday Oct 25th and available for Practice Rounds until the course closes at dark. The cost will be $10/person, paid directly to the golf course in the Pro Shop.

FRIDAY PLAYERS PARTY - The Players Party will be from 6-8pm at the Icicle Junction Activities Center at Icicle Village Resort in Leavenworth. Early Check-In will be available. There will be a DISC SWAP (buy/sell/trade), beer & brat specials, and baskets for putting practice. Also featuring Iron Turtle Disc Golf and BombShell Sweets.

Andy Jaynes with the Leavenworth Disc Golf Club is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. Refunds will be 100% until Sept 7, 2019. After Sept 7, refunds will consist of your registration fee minus the cost of the player pack disc and the cost of shipping the disc to you, since the player pack purchases will have already been made, unless there are others on the waitlist who will take your spot in which case you will still receive a full refund minus the PayPal and DGS transaction fees.
