The Columbus Disc Golf Ladies League is very proud to present the the second year of Ladies at the Lake, a PDGA, B-Tier, event.
Over the past few years, we have worked hard to grow our local ladies league which started with two ladies, Lisa Warner and Maureen Miller. For years, these two ladies hosted "Ladies League," which attracted many new ladies to the sport but they either moved out of town or lost interest. Still determined, the two of them, and sometimes a group of lively gentleman, got together for some friendly competition every Tuesday night. Today we have a solid group of ladies playing, improving their game - some competing in tournaments - and always having lots of laughs. While our league may have started out with two, it is where this tournament was built. What started as two has grown to many and we are ready to reach out even further and bring together the women of our sport with our first sanctioned event.
The tournament will return to the beautiful Gordon Holton Memorial Disc Golf Course at Delaware State Park. This course has a great history of hosting a number of female-only events in the past, including the 2015 United States Women's Disc Golf Championships, as well as the 2014 and 2015 Scarlet Open, and last year's edition of Ladies at the Lake.
Last year's event was a huge success and we hope you will join us as we aim to raise the bar this year.
