It is with a heavy heart that I regret to inform you that South Tahoe Disc Golf Association has come to the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 “King of the Lake” disc golf tournament.

The City of South Lake Tahoe has canceled all large special events on city property thru July 14th, 2020. This includes Bijou Disc Golf Course. The governing agencies for the other four venues in this tournament cannot grant us permission to use their disc golf courses at this time. We are not located in a region that is currently approved for PDGA sanctioning. It is all these factors that left us with no choice but to cancel this tournament.

This was a hard decision and we are left brokenhearted that we will not be able to have a “King of the Lake” tournament this year. But there are more important things in life than a disc golf tournament. Hope everybody is healthy and able to at least play recreational disc golf where you are. We will soon be back to playing competitive disc golf. The” King of the Lake” will be back better than ever next year. We hope to see you here next year for the 2021 “King of the Lake”.
