About this tournament
Kevin is a local to Marion, KY and has introduced the game to many people in the area. He first showed me what disc golf was about 13 years ago and has invited many people to play with him. He never cared what skill level or how serious you were, he just wanted you to come out and play. He has donated his own disc and time to many people who want to learn the sport. He also played a huge role in getting this course here in Marion up off the ground. Not only was he one of the largest advocates for a course but he helped cut out trees, poured tee pads, and set baskets. This is a small way that we can give back to the man that helped us fall in love with this game.
Entry Fee:
$50 per team
You will be paying for this tournament day of in cash so that we can gift the money to the family after we done with the tournament. You will still sign up on here but will pay when you check in.
This will be a two round, best disc doubles, tournament. There is $1,000 added to the cash pot for payouts and will be divided based on the number of teams in each division. All tournament entry money will go directly to the family to support them during this time. On top of the added cash we have also gathered roughly $2,000 worth of disc, disc golf bags, hats, tee shirts, sweatshirts, minis, gift cards and other various items that will be either free CTP's for everyone playing or for a raffle at the end of the tournament. (Pictures of what is available for raffle/CTP's will posted in the pictures tab).
There will be a minimum of 9 free CTP's per round.
There are three divisions:
Open: 1850+
MA1: 1700 - 1849
MA2: Under 1700
Divisions are based on PDGA ratings. If you don't have a rating, you are assumed 900.
There will also be a special raffle for only those who eat lunch at a restaurant in Marion and bring a receipt back to tournament central for proof. You will get 1 raffle ticket for every $10 spent. This prize will include: hat, leather journal, 4 pack brush cleaner, grill cleaner, grill pads, and more.
