Come join us on July 2, 2022, at the Cuchara Mountain Park in beautiful Cuchara, CO for the inaugural First Chair Festival and Fundraiser Disc Golf Tournament presented by Bachman & Associates Real Estate. All proceeds benefit the Panadero Ski Corporation, a 501c3 non-profit bringing affordable lift-aided skiing back to Southern Colorado.
The Tournament kicks off a day of fun to celebrate how much work has been done rehabbing Lift 4 on the once abandoned Cuchara ski hill and to help raise funds for final inspections and certifications needed before the lift can carry passengers. We are closer than ever before to returning skiing to Cuchara, but still need your help!
Come for the disc golf, stay for music, food, drinks, and more! Shortly after the tournament ends, there will be a concert with music by Ponder the Albatross, cold drinks, eats, and a lot fun. More information at skiingcuchra.org and on Panadero Ski Corporation's Facebook.
Panadero Ski Corporation (PSC)'s mission is to bring lift-aided skiing and year-round, lift served recreation to Cuchara Mountain Park, ensuring that fun, affordable, and educational opportunities are available for everyone.
PSC was formed to revive the old Lift 4 and return skiing to Cuchara Mountain. It's been a long journey, starting in 2017 with a grassroots, community effort to raise funds to purchase what is now Cuchara Mountain Park. Thanks to generous donors and amazing volunteers Lift 4 now runs excellently, but we need to raise the final funds to pay for state inspections and certifications of the lift and other operational start-up costs. Once Lift 4 is ready to spin again it will take skiers and riders up 300ft and provide access to epically groomed runs perfect for beginners, families, and anyone looking to cruise laps. There is also backcountry access to the old runs on USFS land and beyond. Skiing at Cuchara Mountain Park will be a unique and affordable opportunity for anyone from those just learning, those wanting to enjoy some fresh air in the winter, and even the backcountry skiing explorer! All funds raised from the disc golf tournament goes directly toward our efforts to get Lift 4 carrying passengers again.
