About this tournament

Welcome to Honking to Heublein 2026! This is the inaugural run of a two-round tournament at Tower Ridge as part of the annual DFX Discs tournament series. Expect a killer player pack, good fun, and Golden Geese!

The event will be held at Tower Ridge on Saturday May 16th. This is a PDGA Sanctioned C-Tier. Please note that while you are not required to be a current PDGA member in order to compete, there is a $15 charge by the PDGA for non-members.

EVENT FEES:
Your $70 registration fee is broken down as follows:
- $4 to the PDGA
- $8 for Greens Fees
- $60+ value Player's Pack (disc, jersey, mini)
- Remainder to event expenses (trophies, sanctioning, CTPs, etc.)

PLAYER PACK:
Each player pack will include:
- 2026 series-exclusive DFX stamped disc with art by the indomitable Marm O. Set (either MVP or Discraft, to be selected at registration)
- 2026 series-exclusive DFX Jersey (these run about a half size large!)
- DFX mini marker

FORMAT/LAYOUT:
This event will feature two rounds in one day, with each round using a shotgun start. Holes 12, 13, and 14 will be excluded from the starting holes to prevent unlucky players from having to trek to the top extra times.

Round 1: MA4/MA50/MA60/FA4/FA3/FA40/FA50/FA60 will play the Red layout. All other divisions will play the White layout.
Round 2: all divisions will play the White layout.

PARKING:
Please park in the main lot. The lot across the street may be used as overflow.

TOURNAMENT CENTRAL:
Tournament central will be located in the Pro Shop.

CHECK IN:
Please plan to check in a minimum of 15 minutes before Round 1. Any player who has not checked in with the TD and arrived at their starting hole 5 minutes prior to tee off will be subject to a two-stroke penalty per the PDGA.

Round 1: 9:00am
Lunch Break
Round 2: TBD, est. 1:30pm

AWARDS/PRIZES:
The event will be trophy-only (“true amateur”). We plan to have CTPs out in each round. Trophies will be awarded in accordance with the PDGA true amateur rules, with trophies produced according to registration numbers on May 2, 2026:
1-4 players: 1st place only
5-12 players: 1st and 2nd
13+ players: 1st through 3rd

Many of you have likely seen the possibility of Tower Ridge being converted into a solar farm. There is a public hearing on April 23, 2026 with the CT Siting Council that can be attended by any who wish to speak in the hope of keeping the course in place. If anything does happen with the course, we will look to move this event to a backup location.
