A brand new PDGA sanctioned C-tier event is coming to Hinton this fall!
Come get in on the action and experience Hinton at a great time of year. The Hinton Disc Golf Association has been working hard on course improvements including new turf teepads!
Matt from Wildman Disc Golf is bringing his extensive event experience to the table and teaming up with HDGA members to put on a great tournament.
Welcome to the first annual Hinton Hyzer disc golf tournament. We are very excited to offer a tournament here in Hinton again, after a few years without.
We are currently working on a location for camping as well as discounted rates for hotels (more info to come shortly).
Tournament Details:
September 12/13, 2026
A $15 fee per player covers event costs, PDGA fees, insurance, and facility use.
FREE overnight camping at Mary Reimer Park! Includes flush toilets and sinks, but not showers, power or potable/drinking water. Propane fires are fine. No open fires.
Friday night casual $5-doubles (flip for partners) 6:30pm. As well as practice rounds at your leisure throughout the day.
Saturday will be a 2 round day and Sunday 1 round, followed by awards.
FA4, Juniors 10 and 12 will have alternate red T-pads. All other divisions will be from regular T-pads.
Juniors aged 12 or under will require a chaperone for all 3 rounds.
Ace Pot Details
The pot will be based on players who opted to pay into the ace pot before the tournament begins. Players who did not pay into the ace pot are not eligible to win.
If no ace is hit during the tournament: Closest to the Pin competition from "Mount Doom" on hole 18 will be held for half the pot. The remaining half will roll over to next year’s event.
There will be some CTP holes, for different divisions, throughout the course.
Refund policy
Hinton Disc Golf Association is responsible for all refunds and cancellations.
There will be no refunds as of noon, Friday Sept 4, 2026. Pro fees will be added to payouts, AM fees will be added to winners pool.
Players who request to withdraw from an event within 14 days of the start of the event and prior to the event’s published closure of registration, will receive a 100% monetary refund minus up to a $10 handling fee only if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is not filled, the TD has the choice to provide either a 25% monetary refund or just the player’s pack they would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 25% monetary refund.
