About this tournament
8 rounds of play
HCDGC will be hosting an 8-week Double Elimination Match Play Tournament to determine three (3) players who will earn a roster spot on the 2026 Hoosier Club Challenge team.
The Club Challenge Qualifier will take place in Brown County this year on 6/13 & 6/14.
Event Format
• 16-player bracket
• Double Elimination
• Players are eliminated after two match losses
• One match per week
• Matches will be played at Washington Township Park (WTP).
Scheduling
• Players are responsible for coordinating and completing their match each week
• Matches must be completed by the weekly deadline (deadlines will be posted once the bracket is released)
• If players cannot coordinate a time, the Tournament Director may assign a time or determine the outcome.
How Match Play Works
• Match play is scored by hole, not by total strokes.
• Each hole is worth 1 point
• The player who wins the hole earns the point
• If both players tie the hole, no point awarded
• The player who is up the most holes wins the match
• A match ends when a player is up more holes than remain.
• Example:
If a player is 3 up with 2 holes left, the match is over.
Ties & Playoffs
• If the match is tied after 18 holes:
• The match continues into sudden-death playoff holes
• Play will continue hole-by-hole until a winner is decided
Important Notes
• Players may concede holes or putts (sportsmanship expected).
• If a match is not completed by the deadline, a forfeit may be issued.
Registration
• Only 16 spots available
• Registration will open in phases based on player rating
• 935+ first, then 900+, then 850+
Prize / Outcome
• The Top 3 finishers will earn the opportunity to represent HCDGC at the Hoosier Club Challenge!
• Let’s build the team.
• We’re excited to see who earns the chance to represent HCDGC this year!
