About this tournament

Hello all!
Welcome to The Green Ribbon Open!
This tournament is being held in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month (May).
Many have found solace in disc golf from an unimaginable variety of stresses. We want to continue to share this sport with any and all we can to help benefit their mental health. It may or may not be a diagnosed condition, but we know disc golf can provide relief.
The goal of this tournament is to bring awareness to the importance of mental health and raise funds to donate to Disc For Life. Disc For Life aims to help spread awareness for mental health and suicide prevention through the amazing sport of disc golf. To see more, please visit their Facebook page or their website (discforlife.org).
In the registration you will find a drop down for donating to Disc For Life. The minimum is $5, and that is all that is expected, but there are options that include CTP and/or Ace Pot at a discount. However, if you decide to give more, that option is present and is also appreciated. In addition to the $5 from every registrant, any funds left at the end of the tournament after all tournament costs are resolved will be donated to Disc For Life.
Behind the name: The green ribbon represents mental health awareness and depression awareness. As such, it made perfect sense to name the tournament The Green Ribbon Open.
This is a true amateur event.
