Celebrate Independence Day with a Flex Start Tournament at Willow Valley Disc Golf Course in Richmond, Rhode Island!
This is the 1st ever Fourth of July Freedom Flex. The timing is perfect to get a PDGA-rated practice round in at Willow Valley before the Rhode Island Championship later that weekend! We are hoping to make this an annual event. Who will be the first Freedom Flex Champions?
Tournament Details:
1-round, PDGA C-Tier Event with player-selected tee times
Standard 18-hole Willow Valley Layout
Flex Start Format: Choose an available tee time during the event window. Tee times are first-come, first-served with a maximum of 4 players per group. Select your tee time/group during registration.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Walk-up late registration will be available for an additional $5 fee (on top of your division entry fee) if there are still available tee times.
Non-PDGA members require a $10 1-day PDGA membership. Maximum of 2 Non-PDGA members allowed per group.
Parking is limited. Please carpool if possible. Arrive on time for your tee time and be courteous to others by freeing up your parking spot promptly after your round. The course is located on a working horse farm. You need to make sure that where you are parking is not restricting access to the barn or horse paddocks in any way.
New PDGA Rule: All players must be checked in and at the first tee a minimum of 5 minutes before their tee time to avoid a 2-stroke penalty.

TD Fee: $2
Total Pass-through Fees (per PDGA rules): $11
Used to determine purse for Pro divisions and AM payout values
AM Player Pack: $5 Credit to Disc Golf 978
AM Division Payouts: All AM Division payouts will be in the form of store credit to popular Disc Golf 978, awarded after the event results are official. Special Thank You to Disc Golf 978 for their assistance. www.discgolf978.com
Pro Payouts: PayPal or other similar method.
No awards ceremony. There's no need to wait around after submitting your scores because the results for each division will not be final until the last card of the day. Winning players will be contacted, and prizes/payouts will be distributed after the event. All division top 3 finishers will be published and recognized in a post-tournament email and social media post.
Optional Ace pot. CTP contest details will provided the day of the event
Please note that MA4 and FA4 divisions are available. Players rated below the rating requirement for these division are encouraged (but certainly not required) to sign up for them and will enjoy a $5 discounted entry fee. Junior divisions are also discounted.
If the division you would like to play in is missing, please reach out and we'll get it added
Tee times are subject to adjustments (to a later time only) due to delays or merging of cards to meet PDGA minimum player requirements.
