About this tournament
2 rounds of play
The First Flight at Antler Grove is a XC Tier club fundraiser for Northern Reach Disc Golf Club. The purpose is two-fold...1) raise money for the course 2) To finalize the layout. "Constructive" comments will be appreciated.
Funds from this event will go towards improving and finishing this new course and the pitch and putt.
Payout on all divisions is 40%. Pro payout will be cash. AM payout will be scrip to Iron Turtle. This will be two rounds of 18. Course entry is behind Deer Park High School at the dead end of Forest Ave. There should be plenty of parking and an area to warm up next to the course.
*Please note this is school property. Alcohol, drugs, and tobacco are forbidden in the parking lot or on the course. Please respect this policy for this tournament.
It is limited to 72 players.
The course will be open for practice Friday starting at noon. Please arrive in time to be done by dark (sunset is at about 7pm), please plan accordingly.
There are 2 courses here. A full size course and a pitch and putt. Both courses are fully wooded courses. The designs for both have each fairway with a fair line to the basket. However, getting off the fairway will likely cost you.
The full course has 28 teepads spread out over 18 fairways. With each fairway currently having one basket position. The longs have a total length of 6812 feet and the shorts come in at 5337 feet. Both are a par 60. There is plenty of elevation due to the gulleys that run over most of the west end of the course. The fairways go up, down, and over these gulleys. The gulleys are fairly deep, smooth, and sand so no rocks to climb over. There are a variety of line shapes and it does not favor a right or left hand dominate player. Holes range from 626 feet to 200 feet. There are 3 par threes in the pro layout over 400 feet.
The pitch and putt simulates a full size with various shot lines, mandos, and will even have a hanging basket when complete.
The tournament will take place on the full size course. However, the pitch and putt will be open also for play. So even if you do not play the tournament bring the family and play the pitch and putt.
