About this tournament

The vision of the Eastern Canadian Amateur National is a centrally located event (Ontario, Quebec, Maritimes, Northern States) where top rated golfers can compete in a longer duration high division presence tournament to determine champions.

Everyone is welcome to register. We will have a staged registration process hoping to accommodate and give ample opportunity for up to 30 divisions to register.

Changes for 2024.

-Some divisions over age 40 and less advanced divisions will play no more than 18 holes a day.

-We will make efforts to ensure we wrap up as early as possible on Sunday for travel. You’ve been here for 3 or 4 days by then and we understand you want to go home at a reasonable time. FPO and MPO players should expect to be last off the courses on Sunday as you are the “show”.

-we will offer MA3 and FA3 Divisions

-If we have the volunteers and registration numbers we could return to Curran in 2024 with a championship 9-hole layout there.

-We are going to put more emphasis on activities and entertainment on site for players to enjoy when not playing in competition.

Pass through fees:

PDGA Per Player Fee: $4
Ettyville Super Spin Green Fee: $50 fee covers - play Thursday to Sunday, Temporary washrooms and wash stations, water, garbage removal, tents/shelter, HST) Note: there will be no Green Fee charges for Junior Divisions
TD Fee: $0
Series Fee: $0

Event Budget: For Amateur Division, event registration fee less pass through fee's will be split equally between players pack and merch out/trophies. As an example a $154 registration fee minus $54 pass through fees would result in a budget of $50 for Merch Out and Trophies and $50 for Players pack.


Pools and amount of play:

For some divisions, we again are challenging golfers with more golf than they traditionally experience at events.

Pool A – 90 holes (2x18, 2x18, 1x18) – FPO, MPO, MP40, FP40 Divisions
Pool B – 90 holes (2x18,2x18, 1x18) – MA1, FA1 Divisions
Pool C – 54 holes (1 x 18, 1 x 18, 1 x 18) - MP50, FP50, MP60, FP60, MA50, FA50, MA60, FA60, MA70, FA70)
Pool D – 54 holes (1 x 18, 1 x 18, 1 x 18) – MA2, FA2
Pool E - 54 holes (1 x 18, 1 x 18, 1 x 18) - FA40, MA40, MA3, FA3
Pool F – 54 holes (1 x 18, 1 x 18, 1 x 18) – All Junior Divisions

We will require 3 players to form a division for all non-junior divisions. Juniors will be allowed to compete in their division regardless of player numbers.

Pricing: All the registration prices are inclusive of HST where applicable:

FP50, MP50, FP60, MP60, FA1,MA1,FA40,MA40, MA2, FA2, FA50,MA50,FA60,MA60,FA70,MA70, MA3. FA3 = $154
All Junior Divisions $104

Camping: We are offering a limited supply of on-site camping spots at an additional cost. Players are limited to one additional camping registration for a caddy/guardian. Anybody with needs beyond that are to contact the tournament director to make arrangements. Cost is $45 per person tax included.

Division Caps: We have division caps in place until March 27 at which time waitlists will be processed in order within respective pools. Players are encouraged to register into waitlist whenever offered before April 24.

Pool Caps: On April 24, we will review registration numbers and determine if we can adjust/remove Pool Caps and/or expansion to a 3rd course. Any remaining waitlisted entries will be processed at this time.

Waitlist: Players will be asked for full event payment. Once we removed the division caps, we expect to promote many waitlisted players into the event. Once the registration has settled, we will 100% refund any players not in the event and offer amended waitlist options.

Schedule of play: This will be confirmed once we know the actual pool sizes closer to the event.

Pre-registration: Pre-registration is offered to a limited number of active Ettyville Super Spin Disc Golf Club members per PDGA guidelines.

Prizes/Trophies/Players Pack: Being a championship and Amateur A-tier we plan on a event branded clothing item in the players pack, a strong focus on Trophies because of the championship nature. Advanced divisions are paying a little more and we will designate those additional amounts to winner’s prize packs.

Refund policy

The tournament director is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.
