About this tournament
1 round of play
Disconsin is hosting a Halloween Bash in the Bog!
This will be an unsanctioned, flex-start event played on the Junior Tees/Two Pars tees at the Half-Moon Lagoon Disc Golf Course in Reedsburg, WI. All holes are 150 feet or under and will be played as Par 2s for this event. Each player will have 36 strokes to get as far into the course as they're able. There will be a marker on the course for each division similar to a CTP marker. Each player who makes it past the current location of the marker for their division with their 36 strokes will add their name to the back and carry the marker along to mark their final lie. Players can choose to continue to play the rest of their round for fun or just walk through the rest of the course collecting their candy at each hole. Divisions available will be Advanced Mixed & Female for those who came to test their mettle, Recreational Mixed & Female for beginners and casual players, and Mixed & Female Juniors for those under age 15.
Players can register in advance on Disc Golf Scene OR at the event on the day of beginning at 2:30 pm if there are still open spots. Play begins at 3 pm. All rounds must begin by 9 p.m. Cages will be lit at dusk. The registration fee is $10 per player for all divisions BUT players who come to play in costume only pay $5!
Afterlife Rounds - Additional rounds of play can be bought for $5 each in advance or on the day of the event to allow players to try to improve their score or to play both daylight and glow rounds. A player's BEST scoring round will be used to determine their standings at the end of the event.
If you hit an ace, stop in at tournament central after your round to claim a special prize.
Trick-or-Treat while you play, there will be candy at the beginning and end of the course as well as at each tee pad. Players can choose a piece at all 20 spots, including the holes they don't make it to with their 36 strokes. Spectators and Caddies are welcome and can join in the Trick-Or-Treating for a $3 per-person fee.
$8 from each full registration fee, $3 from each discounted fee, $3 from each Afterlife Round fee, and $1 from each Caddy/Spectator Trick-Or-Treat fee will go towards cash payouts for the event. Payouts will be made to the top players in each division via PayPal the day after the event (October 30th) or via USPS within 10 business days to anyone who prefers not to receive the payout by PayPal. The remaining $2 will go towards the costs of the event including purchasing a full set of cage lights for Disconsin Disc Golf Club to enable us to host more glow events in the future with any extra money raised being used for course maintenance and upkeep.
