About this tournament
3 rounds of play
The Flying Eagle Disc Society presents Crossfire, the first multi-round tournament held exclusively at Cross Creek Disc Golf Course in the mountains of Gypsum, CO!
Each competitor will play 3-rounds of 18 hole stroke play golf, two on the traditional layout and the final round on the never before seen "Crossfire" layout.
Pro division will compete for cash and we will pay out the top 40% of the field. Am players will receive a small player pack and we will pay out the top finishers with prizes from the Gypsy Disc Golf Store. There is a $1000 Ace Bounty on hole 12 provided by Umbrella Roofing Inc.
Lunch will be provided to all players on Saturday. Bonfire Brewing has donated delicious beer for us as well!
Free camping is available at the Eagle County Fairgrounds (home of Hole In The Sky Disc Golf Course)
On Friday 9/21 we will hold early check-in at the course, with daily membership passes available for $10 so you can play a practice round. We will also play a round of $5 random doubles starting around 4:30 pm.
On Saturday 9/22 player meeting will be 8:30 am with a shotgun start at 9:30 am, followed by lunch and round 2. There will be a player party / bonfire after round 2 (details pending)
On Sunday 9/23 player meeting will be 9:30 am, and we will wrap up awards ASAP following the round.
A portion of your entry fee is going directly to our gracious hosts, Cross Creek Disc Golf Course. The rest will be paid back to the players in cash and prizes.
There are port-o-potties on site at the course. Carpooling is strongly encouraged. The course is in a remote location with no cell phone service, so come prepared with whatever you need from town before venturing to the course. Please be prepared for mountain weather; the course sits at roughly 8000' of elevation. Inquire with Lenny Siegel regarding camping.
