About this tournament
$750 added cash
Welcome to the 2023 Connecticut Women's Disc Golf Championship!
This is a PDGA Sanctioned Pro B-Tier / Amateur C Tier with a minimum of $750 being added to the Pro purse. We are again working with Throw Pink (https://throwpink.com/) to make this a charity event. CTP Events has committed to donating $5 to Throw Pink from our operating budget for every player in attendance. Last year we raised $1225 for the charity and hope to surpass that this year.
EVENT FEES:
We have set the cost of the event at $50 for all divisions, broken down as follows.
Pro:
- $3 to the PDGA
- $47 to the payout
Amateur:
- $2 to the PDGA
- $48 towards player packs / tournament costs
If you would like to sponsor the event and be able to register early, we are offering a $25 Event Sponsor as well.
If the ace pot is not hit during the event, all ace pot money will be donated to Throw Pink.
Effective 2022: Please remember that in order to receive cash at a PDGA event in a Pro division, the player must have a PDGA number (current or expired)
PLAYER PACK:
Amateur Player Pack will include:
- Event Pony Tail Hat
- Event Disc
- Socks
- And more
FORMAT/LAYOUT:
We will be offering all PDGA Women’s divisions for this event. We have also added the Purple (rating <800) division intended for players that may not feel comfortable playing multiple rounds.
All divisions will play 2 rounds with the exception of Purple, FJ06, FJ08 and FJ10 only playing 1 round. There will be a brief awards ceremony both at lunch and after round 2 so that the divisions that are only playing one round are not required to stay the entire day unless desired.
For Round 1, players in the Purple, FJ06, FJ08, FJ10, FA55+ and FP55+ divisions will play a modified shorter layout. All other divisions will be playing the standard layout. All participating divisions will play the standard layout for Round 2.
PARKING:
Please park in the recreational lot straight up the dirt road along hole 18, not in the brewery lot.
TOURNAMENT CENTRAL:
Tournament central for this event will be behind the tee for 18 (near the entrance to the back parking lot).
CHECK IN:
Tournament central will be located behind the tee for hole 18. Check in will begin no later than 8:00 AM. Please be sure to check in as soon as possible to help the day run smoothly.
PLAYERS MEETING:
There will be a players meeting at 9:00 prior to the start of Round 1 and prior to the start of Round 2.
AWARDS/PRIZES:
We will have a brief awards ceremony at lunch for all one-round divisions. Awards for all other divisions will be held shortly after the conclusion of round 2 and basket throw off finals.
RAFFLE / THROW OFF
We will once again be holding a charity raffle and basket throw off. More information on the specifics as we get closer to the event. However, if you are interested in donating a prize for either, please let us know via https://tinyurl.com/CTPSponsorForm
