About this tournament

Presenting the 4th Annual Cold Garden's Limber Open!

Once again we want to Thank you for sticking with us and trusting we’re bringing you another great tourney! This year brought its own set of challenges as we set out to make a bigger better CGLO! We'd like to thank the City of Calgary's Events and Parks departments. They were absolutely essential in making this come together. Hopefully we see some of them out there! The sale of Limber Disc Golf to the Ski Cellar (TBD grand opening) has also slightly changed the dynamic of things(for the better!). I am very grateful to represent Limber Disc Golf with this event and continue being a part of this community! Hopefully you'll get to meet the team. Check in will be at the new shop! (TBD)

We had so much fun last year and we hope you did too! Cold Garden Brewing brought the vibes and man did they deliver. This tournament keeps ticking cause this local small business owner LOVES disc golf. Cannot emphasize enough how much this tournament needs sponsors like Blake and Dan at Cold Garden to make this thing work! Thank you!

We were so happy with last years turn out and we are always trying to reach more disc golfers to enjoy our city for a hot summer weekend. SO, we've added Baker Park this year. It felt odd that CGLO wasn't using the most played course in Canada when it's in our wheelhouse. Thanks to Ward 1 Councillor Sonya Sharp for sharing our vision!

We have a memorable 2 day tournament on 4 courses spread across Calgary. At this size of tournament we can no longer have everyone play every course. However we will run it in a way that everyone plays Elliston. No pros or Pool A will play Baker Park. Here is the line-up!

The Currie Reservoir Disc Golf Course (Tournament Central) - Quickly became a hotspot for Calgary disc golfers. Calgary Disc Golf Club has been hard at work this year. at Currie and will have the course in tip top shape. We will once again make a few tweaks to the layout to make room for the Cold Garden Beer Gardens, vendors, stage and tournament central.

David Richardson Memorial - After being closed for a good portion of 2022-23, DRM is back and in full swing. Potential winds coming out of the Northwest can make for a challenging round. Keep an eye out for a moose that likes to hang around.

Elliston Park (temp) - AKA where the fireworks are. Yes, Globalfest is held here every year! Lucky for us not until August. Casey Hanemayer will be helping us out with a fun and challenging 18 hole temporary course here. Making use of elevation and many water hazards to keep things interesting. Bring a few spare discs for this one or/and maybe your Innova Dragon or Discmania Mermaid (floating discs). You will not be able to shoot a practice round on this course. We will be doing a Caddy book to help players out with this one.

Are you a first time tournament-goer? Just want to have a fun round but still learn what a tournament is about? Don't be shy in registering for our FA3 and MA4 divisions! These divisions are specifically included to help first-timers have a fun experience while still learning the rules in a tournament setting. You do not need to have read the rulebook to come out and enjoy yourself and try something new!

Find Nate B throwing bombing forehands and catching course records at Baker almost every morning. Also competing this year in MA1. Thanks Nate!
