About this tournament
2 rounds of play
We are excited to present the 2025 US doubles qualifier! This event is a qualifier event for teams to compete for a chance to register for the US doubles championship main event in Rock Hill SC, Oct 2nd - 5th 2025.
All players will receive a custom stamped 2025 US doubles stamped disc for a players pack.
2 round event, 9 am shotgun start, 1 hour break, round 2.
Bring your own partner best shot doubles event.
Players packs will be ordered Monday April 21st. All players that register after the players packs are ordered are not guaranteed USDGC stamped disc. A couple extra discs will be ordered but no guarantee if registered after that time.
MA1: Blue Pads
FA1: White Pads
Round 1: Red Baskets
Round 2: Gold Baskets
New qualification thresholds here:
Men's Teams
1-14 teams = 1 team qualifies
15-24 teams = 2 teams qualify
25+ teams = 3 teams qualify
Women's Teams
1-4 teams = 1 team qualifies
5-9 teams = 2 teams qualify
10+ teams = 3 teams qualify
One other notable change will be the registration process. Unprecedented demand last year led to some challenges and this was a very important one to address. 2025 is "Win and you're in." First place qualifying teams can register for the main event right away. Second and third place teams (at events with enough participation) will be able to register starting after the final qualifiers take place in September. We've also got gold, silver, and bronze medals to differentiate those podium finishes. 2nd and 3rd place qualifying teams are not guaranteed a spot in the main event. We are doing our best to balance the increased demand with event capacity.
In the event of a playoff, it will be a sudden death playoff playing holes 1 through 18 until a winner is decided. The playoff layout will be the layout that was used for round 2 per the division.
Player Eligibility:
All players must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible to compete in the USDGC Doubles Main event:
The Player is not a PDGA member or does not have a player rating and has never accepted cash in a PDGA event.
The player has an Amateur Player Classification with the PDGA - meaning the player is classified as an amateur and plays in amateur divisions for prizes instead of cash. If a player plays in a Pro division and accepts cash at any time, they become classified as a Professional member. An Amateur class player has either never accepted cash, or if they have, they have later met the criteria to be reclassified from Professional back to Amateur with the PDGA.
A mixed group of pro and am-class players is not allowed.
Players who qualify as a team must play together as a team in the main event. No substitutions, no exceptions.
All qualified players must register online by Sunday, September 10th. No exceptions.
