Welcome to the 2024 Birdie Derby Castle Rock sponsored by Restoration Chiropractic. This is going to be a 1 round unsanctioned tournament held at Rhyolite Disc Golf Course in Castle Rock, CO on September 6th at 1 PM. Check-in will start at 12:30 PM where you will receive your player pack consisting of 3 discs (PA-5, A5, and F3).
Prodigy Disc is jumping into 3 disc challenges with their version of tournament called the Birdie Derby. Like most companies their hope to grow the sport of disc golf and make it accessible to everyone.
As you probably know by now this style of tournament is unique in the since that the 3 discs you receive in the player pack are the only 3 discs that you may use in the tournament. This is primarily meant to level the playing field amongst new and seasoned players alike. But it also arms newer players with a putter, midrange, and driver that they can take to any course in the area and continue enjoying the great sport of Disc Golf.
