In honor of the Bartholomew Park Disc Golf Course being the oldest disc golf course in the state of Texas, and it has just turned 40 years old, a tournament will be held on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022.
The tournament will consist of two rounds of twenty holes each for a total of forty holes. Admission to the tournament will be limited to a total of 80 players, with four players per card.
Entry fee for this tournament will be proof of donation of the $50 minimum amount to the Parks Foundation SFA. No money is anticipated to be dealt with onsite for this tournament. The Austin Parks Foundation already has a SFA set up to receive donations specifically for the improvement to the disc golf course.
The current disc golf course will be utilized, but with slight modifications, none of them permanent. This is the anticipated course layout, which will require the use of additional park land that normally is not part of the course. Five additional temporary baskets will be brought in for the tournament and will then be removed.
