About this tournament

BDGA's Battle of the Brands is a chance to show your love for your favorite disc golf brands and players! This is a normal best shot doubles event with a twist: Your team can only throw one brand! No bending the rules, either. Discraft can't throw DGA. MVP can't throw Axiom. So on and so forth. Please come decked out in all your disc golf gear! There will be a prize for the best doubles team (name and fit)!
Along with individual winners, we will crown a winning Brand using the following formula:
1st Place in a Division: 60pts
2nd Place in a Division: 30pts
3rd Place in a Division: 10pts
Total Points per Brand divided by the number of players representing the brand in the field.
For example, 5 teams represent Discraft and all get second place, their brand score is: 30. 3 Teams represent MVP and get first place and second place their team score is also: 30. In the event of a tie, the team with the fewest number of players wins.

Entry:
$40 Per Team
$15 from each team's entry will go to a fund used to purchase materials and tools for the maintenance committee to update teepads, move baskets, and trim up our fairways and paths to make our courses nicer and more welcoming.
$25 to payout, paid out to the top 25% of each division.
This event is used to fundraise for BDGA projects, this year, we are using them to fundraise to replace old, broken, and slippery tee-pads at all our Lexington courses.
There will be an optional $5 ace pot for each team at each event. This is a 50/50 ace pot, meaning if no ace is hit, half the pot goes to BDGA funds.
Divisions:
We will have 5 divisions at each event, 1 Open division, 2 Capped divisions, a Mixed division, and a Woman's Division
Open - No Ratings Cap
Advanced - No player over 950 rating
Recreational - No player over 890 rating
Mixed - Required Minimum 1 Women's/JR qualified player) - No player rated over 950
Women - All Women
JR - All JR
Players with no rating will be given a “Default Rating” of 890. Observe the ratings cap.
Format:
Best shot doubles: both teammates throw from every lie, choosing the best shot to play from until the hole is completed
