Ready to compete, connect, and celebrate active living? The Nanaimo 2025 55+ BC Games take place September 9–13, 2025, bringing together people from across British Columbia for an unforgettable multi-sport event. Whether you’re in it for the competition, camaraderie, or just the thrill of participation, now’s the time to get involved!
In 2025, disc golf will be part of the Games for the first time. Come join the fun at Bowen Park in Nanaimo for doubles, singles, and skills competitions.
The schedule for the week is as follows:
Tuesday, September 9 - Participant accreditation; practice day
Wednesday, September 10 - Icebreaker random doubles
Thursday, September 11 - Singles round 1, skills competition
Friday, September 12 - Singles round 2, skills competition
There will be more events throughout the week such as the Opening Ceremonies, Games Village, Friday night dance, etc.
Divisions include Women and Men 55-64 and 65+. For each age group there will be Recreational and Competitive divisions based on PDGA rating. Female players with a PDGA rating below 790 will be assigned to the Recreational division, while those with a rating of 790 or above will be assigned to the Competitive division. Male players rated below 900 will be assigned to the Recreational division; 900+ will be Competitive.

All registration is handled through the BC 55+ Games Society website. This Disc Golf Scene event is here to help spread the word.
The official registration deadline for the Games was June 15th, but Disc Golf registration has been extended to September 4th.
To register, go to the Games registration page and register as a member first (membership is $20 and can be paid online with a credit card).

Then email Dawn Portman at [email redacted] so she can add you as a participant and pass along payment instructions for the $100 registration fee.
Registration includes disc golf doubles, singles and skills competition as well as other Games events throughout the week.
