About this tournament

Thank you for your support for the family of Jimmy Padgett. As most of you know, he was one of the founders of the Augusta Disc Golf association, and one of the biggest stewards of disc golf in our are. Noel and I will try to run an event like he would. We have lots of good things in store.

A little business to start. In order to run this as a CEP charity event we have had to list it as developmental under the endowment fund. What that means to you is that the profits from the tournament will be split with most going to the family and a portion going to developmental goals like equipment or education on disc golf to those in need. We feel like that's how Jimmy would have wanted it anyway. It also means non-PDGA members only pay $5 extra to enter vs. the standard $15.

You may have noticed that the divisions are by rating with the exception of juniors. A note on that. We like this format as it provides a way to truly compete against your peers. That being said, if there are ladies that would like to keep their cards together for the majority of the tournament we will accommodate that for all but the final round. It is important that those on the lead cards get to see who they are playing against. If enough ladies sign up and want a separate division, we will provide it. We do however, hope that everyone will want to play the rating based divisions. We get it though, and would not want to exclude anyone based on our preferences. Please message us if you need cards arranged in this way for ladies that do chose to play in the mixed side of the event.

Speaking of ladies, juniors, and folks that are playing in their very first PDGA event. You will receive an extra player's pack item from some goodies that Noel and I put together.

This is going to be a long couple of days, so prepare yourself. We will have water on the courses. We will not be providing lunch, but will extend the break between rounds to an hour and a half so that you can grab something. It is highly likely that we will have some snacks available, but you are on your own for lunch. We will be hosting a player's party at PK on Saturday after the round. Let us know if you will be there so that we know how much food to buy!

This will be a trophy event as we will to donate as much as we can to the causes. Don't worry, you'll like the player's pack.

We'll see you out there!
