About this tournament

WELCOME to the Armory Disc Golf Presents Chili and Chains, an EPM DGC Doubles fundraiser!
Money raised from this event will be donated to the Church for course maintenance and upkeep
This functions as a stand alone tournament (payouts as normal) and IS NOT a part of Throwing Down the Gauntlet
General
- This will be a 2 round doubles event, with both rounds being held at Eric Paddy Memorial in Tomball, TX
- Ace pot will be from this event alone and if not hit the entirety of the pot will be donated to the church
- SEVERAL CTP prizes per division up for grabs, breakdown below
- Mega CTP and Ring of Fire after the second round for free prizes!
If ANY player crosses any fence the team is disqualified, don't be that guy...
Tournament Day
- Check in will begin at 8am
- Round 1 will start @ 9am with a players meeting at 8:30 am
- Hole assignments will be announced/posted at the players meeting at 8:30
- There will be a FREE chili lunch provided by Graceview Baptist Church (~1.5ish hour after the last card is turned in), and round 2 will start promptly after. Check our Facebook page update thread for the exact start time of the second round
- Each player will receive 3 tokens to vote on their favorite chilis
- Bathrooms will be open and available for the entirety of the event

Doubles Format and Special Rules
Round 1:
- Course Holes 1-6 will be Tough Shot doubles
- Course Holes 7-12 will be Alternating Shot doubles
- Course Holes 13-18 will be Best Shot doubles
Round 2:
- Course Holes 1-18 will be "Best Shot" doubles
Special Rules:
- Hole 3: A player may elect to throw off the tee at the "target" to the right of the pad. If the Target is struck, the TEAM may proceed to the drop zone. If missed, the hole plays as normal.
- Hole 9: The TEAM may elect to throw a roller off the tee. If a roller is thrown, both players must throw rollers and the best shot will be taken.
- Hole 15: The TEAM may elect to throw with their off hand off the tee. After teeing off the worst lie is chosen, the tee shot doesn't count towards the stroke total and the hole plays as normal.
Definitions:
A player: any single player on a team
The TEAM: Both players on the team
Tough shot: Similar to worst shot but the hole is finished when either player's disc comes to rest in the basket or chain assembly
Off hand: Any hand/throw you don't actually use. RH/BH and RH/FH must throw left handed, RH/FH and LH/BH must throw LH/FH or RH/BH etc. If you are ambidextrous, congratulations you do you...

- $10 per team will go towards a merch CTP prize pool
- The CTP prize pool will be based on the Am/Pro classifications
*Ladies get an exception
- Divisions less than 3 teams one week out from the event will not receive a trophy.

Refund policy
THERE WILL BE A NON-REFUNDABLE $5 FEE FOR ALL REGISTRATIONS
Cancellations will be refunded minus the $5 cancellation fee up until 5 days before the tournament begins. Refunds within 5 days of tournament date will ONLY be granted if that spot is filled before the tournament begins, either by a waitlist player or new entry. Entry fees for dropouts that are not filled within the final 5 days will be added to the tournament payout pool. Ams who drop out during this window and are not refunded will still be eligible to receive their player packs from The Armory Disc Golf Shop within 30 days after the tournament.
