We will use the UDisc app to keep score. Look for “Ultimate Disc Golf” under the local “Events” tab. There are two separate events corresponding with the two different course layouts we are using, one for “Ultimate DG Challenge- Amateur” (red tees) and another for “Ultimate DG Challenge- Open” (white tees)
Make sure you check in to the event corresponding with the division you signed up in (Amateur Men/Amateur Women; Open Men/Open Women). If two people on your card are playing in Amateur and the other 2 are playing in Open you will need two separate people to keep score, one for Amateur and one for Open.
We will use the same “event” for both Round 1 and Round 2, however, you will create a new scorecard within the same event for Round 2.This will make a duplicate of each player instead of adding a second round. Per Udisc: “Players can play more than one round per event. Their best round will be ranked on the leaderboard, and all others will appear at the bottom.”
Awards will be given to the players in each division with the lowest combined score.

Hole 2: Mandatory to the left of the pole. If you miss the mando you are assessed 1 penalty stroke and advance to Drop Zone at the red tee.
Hole 4: The rock “river” directly behind the basket is safe. There will be pink string indicating the out of bounds circle/line beyond the rocks.
Hole 5: Open Divisions will play from the red/short tee, NOT the white/long tee.
Hole 6: Mandatory to the left of the pole. If you miss the mando you are assessed 1 penalty stroke and advance to Drop Zone to the left of the bridge. UltraStar Round “Closest to the Pin” (CTP)- there will be a tag for each division, if your drive lands closest to the basket, move the tag to your lie and write your name on the tag!
Hole 7: The rock “Arrow” is considered a mandatory island. You must land on the island or cross through the tunnel on your first throw. If you do not land on the island or throw through the tunnel, you are assessed 1 penalty stroke and advance to Drop Zone 1 at the base of the arrow. If your next throw does not buy pass through the tunnel, you are assessed 1 penalty stroke and advance to Drop Zone 2 at the entrance of the tunnel. Spotters will be available to help guide you.
Hole 8: Mandatory island. If your first throw crosses over any part of the island but you land out of bounds you are assessed 1 penalty stroke, however, you may take your next throw from where your disc last crossed in bounds. If your first throw does NOT cross over any part of the island, you are assessed 1 penalty stroke and advance to the Drop Zone at the beginning of the island. Spotters will be available to help guide you.
Hole 9: Your first throw must pass between the two poles and land on the island. If you do not pass between the poles you are assessed 1 penalty stroke and advance to Drop Zone 1 between the poles, where you will have another attempt at the island. If your first throw passes between the poles but does not land on the island you are assessed 1 penalty stroke and advance to Drop Zone 2 at the front of the island. Spotters will be available to help guide you.
Hole 10: The out of bounds line is tight on the left side of the fairway but it does open up more closer to the basket. The rock “river” near the basket is safe.
Hole 13: Open Divisions will play from the red/short tee, NOT the white/long tee. The out of bounds line on the right side turns into a safe rock “river” to the left of the bridge. This will be demarcated with pink string
Hole 14: Buzzz SS Round “Closest to the Pin” (CTP)- each division has their own tag
Hole 15: The white/long tee pad is near Tee Pad 14
Hole 18: Mandatory through the tunnel. If you miss the tunnel, you are assessed 1 penalty stroke and advance to the Drop Zone at the entrance of the tunnel. The rock “river” to the left of the basket is safe. The path very far to the left of the basket demarcates the out of bounds.

Hole 2: To find the tee pad, continue down the fairway until the fairway begins to dogleg to the right. The tee pad will be on your left.
Hole 3: The Red Teepad is on the top of the hill.

There are a couple emails coming your way so be on the lookout (please let me know ASAP if you haven't received any emails from me so I can add you to the list). We DO have a permit for the event and have received confirmation from the city of Chandler that we are still approved to hold the event, even though it is >50 people.

We have a COVID plan on file with the city of Chandler that everyone MUST follow (masks, 6 ft of distancing, minimize congregating).

In an effort to maximize health safety we will be keeping all cards the same both rounds. Additionally, we would like to place people from the same household/social group who have recently spent a lot of time together on the same cards (max 4 per card). Please email both me and Zac ([email redacted], [email redacted]) with the names of your group. If you do not email me I will group people who were registered together.

I will also be sending an updated player program with the course rules for each division, our COVID guidelines, tips for throwing/disc golf, and a list of our generous sponsors and donors. PLEASE READ IT BEFORE ARRIVING ON SATURDAY
