ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT BENEFITS PROJECT SWEET PEAS - ALABAMA! THIS YEAR JJO WILL BE A 1 ROUND TEE-TIME FLEX START EVENT. MPO AND MA1 WILL PLAY THE LONG PADS WITH EVERYONE ELSE PLAYING THE SHORT PADS. THERE MUST BE AT LEAST 3 PLAYERS ON A CARD, BUT ANY DIVISION CAN PLAY ON ANY CARD.
MPO WILL BE PLAYING FOR 100% CASH PAYOUT. AM'S WILL BE TROPHY ONLY. AM ENTRY FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE A PLAYER'S PACK, BUT THERE IS AN OPTION TO PURCHASE A JJO FUNDRAISER DISC SEPARATELY. MPO AND MA1 WILL PLAY THE LONGS WITH EVERYONE ELSE PLAYING THE SHORTS.
The Josie’s Journey Open was created in June of 2018 after our daughter, Josie Rynn Bevis, was born premature at only 23 weeks and at 1 pound 6 oz. The amount of support and love we received from different organizations, friends, and family was unbelievable and inspired us to run an event to help give back in a sense. The plan was to run a disc golf tournament once a year that benefits a NICU/Preemie related organization. Thanks to our competitors and tournament sponsors we have raised over $46,000 over the last 8 years!
