The Tiger Open is back and upgraded to an A-Tier for the first time ever! That means you'll get the same high level tournament experience that The Disc Golf Dojo and The Woods at Trinity can offer along with HUGE payouts and Players Packs for Ams!

The Tiger Open will be a 3 day, 3 round event featuring Tee Times for ALL Players each day. The event will take place on June 26-28th. All 3 rounds will be played at The Woods at Trinity DGC in McKinney, Tx.

This is a PDGA A-Tier event meaning that all players must be current PDGA members. Players will not be able to register if they are not a current PDGA member

An epic course just North of McKinney, Tx that features a great variety of shots, pro level scoring separation, and a great venue for players of all skill levels.

Tee Times

Players will be assigned a tee time for competition each day and will begin play on hole 1. The Field will cap at 160 players. Cards will consist of 3-4 players. Tee times for White and Green pools will be in intervals of 10 minutes starting at 7am each day. Gold pool will have tee times with 12 minute intervals with the final group teeing off no later than 3pm. Groups will only consist of players from a single division (with exception to amateur women, age protected, and juniors). It is possible for more spots to be added depending on how the pools shake out and what tee times look like.

Tee times will be assigned in the following order of divisions starting at 7am:

Green Pool: MA60+ - FA Excludes FA1 - JRs - FP60+ - MP70+ - MA4 - MA3

White Pool: MA50 - MA40 - MA2 - MP60 - FA1 - FP50 - FP40 - FPO

Gold Pool: MA1 - MP50 - MP40 - MPO

Official Tee Times for round 1 will be published on Thursday, June 25th at 12pm and after each pool has finished subsequent rounds.

Players must check in at tournament central at least 10 minutes prior to their tee times each day.



Course Layouts
The Tiger Open will feature 3 player pools competing on 3 unique 18 hole course layouts. Each pool will play the same course layout for all 3 rounds.

All players will play from the newly poured tee pads on hole 1. They are the rightmost set of tees. Blue is long, Red is short.


Gold Layout - MPO, MP40, MP50, MA1
Blue tees (Long) to Gold baskets (Long).

Original Holes 13-14 and 20-21 will be combined into two par 5's. You will play hole 13's blue tee to hole 14's basket and hole 20's blue tee to hole 21's gold pin. Skip original hole 15.

Hole 9 will play to the original White basket, not the new long position.


White Layout - FPO, FP40, FP50, MP60, FA1, MA40, MA50, MA2
Red Tee (Short) to Gold Pin (Long) on holes 1-6,10,12,13,15-18.

Blue Tee (Long) to Short Basket on holes 7,8,9,11,14

Original Holes 13-14 and 20-21 will be combined into two par 5's. You will play hole 13's Red tee to hole 14's basket and hole 20's Red tee to hole 21's gold pin. Skip original hole 15.


Green Layout - MP70+, FA Divisions (Excluding FA1), MA60+, MA3, MA4, Juniors
Red Tee (Short) to Short Pin - 1,5-7,9,11,15-18

Red Tee (Short) to Gold Pin (Long) - 2,3,4,8,10,12,13,

Blue Tee - 14

Hole 13 will play to the long pin of the original hole, not hole 14's basket. Hole 18 will play as original hole 21 Red to Short. Skip original 14,15,20.

All players in amateur divisions will receive a players pack! Players pack items include:

Complete players packs are guaranteed for players who register before June 1st. Players who register after that time will be given store credit to The Disc Golf Dojo in lieu of any items that they do not receive.

Custom event hats are available as an add on purchase with registration.
Pro Players will receive a Personalized Engrave Mini.

Beat the Heat
This is mid-Summer in Texas, it will be HOT!! We are playing 3 rounds of 18 holes on a long course. Pro cards will expect to tee during the hottest stretch of the day. We will have spotters on several holes and have strategically altered the 21 hole Trinity layout to help cards move through the sunny areas of the course a bit quicker.

Players need to be prepared for a long, hot Texas round of golf. Hats, sunglasses, and umbrellas are great tools to avoid the sun. Carts can help minimize fatigue and manage very well on this course. Wear sunscreen if needed and stay in the shade where possible.

We will have shade and hydration stations at holes 2, 8, 13, and 18 (Gold). It is imperative that players BRING LOTS OF WATER! Players will get a hydration drink mix as part of their player pack and more will be available for purchase at tournament central.

Be sure to hydrate well on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. Hydration starts 48 hours before heat exposure. Preparation before the event will go a long way to keeping hydrated. Be safe and let's all have a good time!



Awards and Payouts
There will be $3000 added to the pro purse for this event. Thank you to our sponsors for making this possible!

Payout will be awarded to the top 40% of each Pro division using the PDGA payout scale. Pro divisions will be paid digitally after the event via Paypal sent to the email address that is provided with registration. If different payment arrangements need to be made then please indicate in the notes section of registration.

Amateur players will win a merchandise credit to The on-site Disc Golf Dojo proshop. Payout will be awarded to the top 45% of each Am division using the PDGA payout scale. Payout will be available and published to Disc Golf Scene and each player's Digital Scorecard once all players in any given division have completed their rounds. Store Credit can be redeemed the day of the event, at any future Disc Golf Dojo event, or at the Disc golf Dojo Clubhouse in Van Buren, AR. We are currently working on building an online store as well but do not have a timeline for when that may be operational. Am payout will expire 2 years after it is awarded. Credit awarded at this event is valid through June 28th, 2028.

Trophies will be awarded to the first place finisher in divisions with 3 or more registered players on or before June 15th.
