About this tournament
1 round of play
The Wyben Open is our different each year, unique format event! The format this year? Mullet golf - business in the front, party in the back - that's right, 1 round of PDGA singles (business), followed by 1 round of doubles (party). The doubles teams will be determined solely by 1st round scores.
The lowest score 1st round will partner up with the highest score, 2nd lowest with 2nd highest, etc. This will apply across all divisions that share the same 1st round layout. So regardless of division, the lowest score on whites first round, will play with the highest score on whites, and the same applies to reds. So while all divisions will be offered for your 1st (rated) round, for the 2nd round players will be lumped into 2 divisions based on which layout they played 1st round.
FA50, MA60, FA60, MA70, FA70 MA3, FA3, MA4, FA4 and all juniors will be playing from the red (short) tees 1st round. All others will play white.
The cash will all be in doubles, so you will play your first round solely to get a rating and establish your handicap, then you'll try to earn the $ in the 2nd round.
The cost will be $30 for all players and will break down as follows:
$10 to the course
$17 to payouts
$3 PDGA fee
The North Elm Butcher Block will be on site at lunch with their mouth watering selection of BBQ options!
