I apologize if this was asked and answered. Is it possible for a registered player not on the waitlist to change divisions into a division that is full? For example, I'm in MA50 but my rating recently dropped under 900 so I'm eligible for MA3. My primary goal this season is to get points for a Worlds invite, so I'd consider moving to AM3 to get more points. There are still spots in the tournament, and in MA50, but not in MA3. I wouldn't want to make the switch if it would put me on a waitlist, and I could potentially lose my place in the tournament altogether.

A little more than a month to go! The very latest updates here!

...we have completed our PDGA ratings update, and very pleased to report that no players/divisions need to be adjusted due to rating changes.
...quite the ice and snow these past few weeks, and we are very grateful to the staff and support from Hudson Mills Metropark. Repairs and clean-up are already underway on both courses!
...be sure to check the PDGA Refund Policy 1.03 because our ability to offer a full refund changes in the coming days.
...a reminder that we will adjust our DIVISION CAPS beginning on April 1st, and they will be finalized no later than 8:00pm on April 3rd. It's looking likely that we will have more space for many of the MA divisions, so jump on the waitlist soon!

Here are a few important things to remember when registration opens. Our structure may seem a little complex, but we believe it creates a fair process that enables the best balance of divisions and competitors.

...the final division adjustments will be enforced following the March rating update
...the digital caddie book will be emailed to all players on Friday, March 31st
...all requests for withdrawals and refunds will be reviewed under PDGA Rule 1.03

...the DIVISION CAPS are set and will remain in place until Monday, April 3rd at 8:00pm
...if a division fills, there will be a waitlist offered to that division and players will be promoted into the tournament if anyone withdraws while online registration remains open

...if there are vacancies remaining in any division on April 1st, then those spaces will be offered to the corresponding MA division (i.e. FA3 spots would become MA3 spots, FA40 would become MA50, etc.)
...lastly, each MA division is required to have no fewer than 4 (four) registered players to participate
