The Blackhawk Basket Bash is BACK in 2026, and with that a new, reinvigorated Pathfinder Disc Golf!
Guess who else is BACK IN THE FRAY AS WELL?? MIKEY BEAL
Mikey has returned in 2026 in order to ensure Pathfinder's longevity, reform the team after a year outside of the administrative side of disc golf, and bring fun to all of you at the expense of his own sanity.
Things to expect PRIOR TO THE EVENT DATE:
Stronger communication - More photos, layout announcements, videos, and more!
Know where you'll go - Mikey is committing to closing registration at least 3 days in advance. You'll know exactly where you're going on each course, and you will be equipped with as many maps as we can make.
That's for a later date, though. For now, expect videos announcing some cool changes to what we're doing as Pathfinder Disc Golf on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, and how we're paving the way for sanctioned, and unsanctioned, play in 2026.
EVENT OVERVIEW
2 rounds. For the first time ever, several divisions will utilize 2 courses in 2 cities here in Southern Illinois!
Most divisions will play their first round in Salem, IL at Karma DGC. It is expected that only MA3, MA4, Gender-protected, and Age-protected divisions will be playing here first. MA2 will ALSO play Salem. The cap is 72 players TOTAL for these divisions. Once that number is reached, the registration for those will close.
All others will play some variety of rounds in Centralia. The idea was to use Rec Side Blue Tees, but I have not received information that those tees are prepared, so TWO ROUNDS ON CHAMP SIDE WILL BE PLAYED for MA1, and all PRO DIVISIONS.
Because this event is a learning experience for everyone involved, Mikey is capping the event at 144 players.
There's going to be a TON of events to play in 2026, and you're going to want to stay tuned, so make sure you join the Pathfinder Disc Golf discord server, follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and soon TikTok! We're excited, and hope you will be too!
