Greetings to all involved with the 2025 Utah State Championships presented by MVP Disc Sports.
What a weekend we had! Congratulations to ALL of our division winners - you can now call yourselves 1x UT State Champions, which... is honestly about the raddest thing outside of winning Worlds.
Congratulations as well to our podium finishers and furthermore - to all of you for getting out, challenging yourself on some tough layouts, and enjoying a remarkably perfect weather window for Utah in August.
First - I want to thank everyone who helped with this event.
Thank you to MVP Disc Sports for sponsoring this event for another year!
Their support is massively appreciated, and this event would not be possible without their custom art department, their phenomenal support staff, and the excellent plastic they produce - which I'm hoping you are all throwing!
Thank you to Mandie Chamberlain and Chaz Critchfield.
Mandie was our Assistant TD on record for this event, and she is an absolute rock for me as a TD - I cannot be in 2 places at once, and Mandie took on the role of making sure folks were taken care of and checked in up at Brighton, and that was invaluable.
Chaz, as hopefully you all already know by now, is the mind behind the entire course design for Brighton - and he made sure the course was in premier shape for this event, that rules and regs were set clearly both in the caddy books and on the course, and gave me all of the direction I needed to make sure this event continued the strong legacy he set for UT States over the past few years.
Thank you to Amanda Kaestner, John and Sam Ward, Chandler Purtle, Jacob Barham, Tannor Merkol, Casey Turner, Zach Arlt, and the rest of our on-site volunteers across both courses - your help spotting & supporting was huge. Thank you to Jared Cloward and Chris Norman for letting me use your baskets.
Thank you to Bad Throws Good Bros for filming the MPO Lead Card all 3 days, we can't wait to see the coverage in a few weeks - you can see their coverage of the 2025 Salt Lake Open HERE:

Thank you to Brighton Resort for being such an excellent venue, Uinta Brewing for keeping us "hydrated", Feldman's Deli for the support, our hole sponsors for their backing of this event, and to all of you for playing.

FINALLY -
Just wanted to extend a final thanks to all of you who played this year. This year was my 1st year as TD for UT States (and my first time being TD for an A-Tier), and so seeing the big turnout was really encouraging. We will continue to work as hard as we can to provide epic event series in Utah throughout the entire year. States was our second event on a list of 5 back to back A or B-Tiers that we took on this year - and in order to put these on we need players - so thanks again for coming out.
See you again soon,
--
