Welcome to the 2025 USDGC Doubles Main Event
The premier Doubles Championship kicks off, and is the culmination of the 2025 USDGC Doubles qualifier series. Congratulations to those who have made it to our big dance! Our mission is to create a professional event that is catered specifically around the players. We strive for your experience to be second to none.
This year’s event will consist of 2 pools competing on 2 courses over 3 days. After the second day of competition the field will be cut to the top 50 men’s teams (and tied) and the top 20 female teams (and tied) for the final round on Sunday Oct. 6th to be held on the Camp Canaan. We will be using the "Best Shot" format for all rounds of doubles competition.
There will be a fun event with prizes and CTP’s for any team that does not make to the final day of competition. The consolation round is slated for the Winthrop Spectator course. More details will be sent out on the weekend for those interested in participating in that.
Registration Information
This event features the “Win and you're In” registration process. Teams that come in 1st place at any 2025 USDGC Doubles Qualifier, as well as the top 3 teams from the 2024 main event will be able to register for the main event immediately.
2nd and 3rd Place teams from 2025 USDGC Doubles Qualifiers are qualified for the main event and will be able to register starting Sept. 9th. Details and the special code will be sent to all players via email prior to open registration for all qualified teams
If the event fills capacity, a waitlist will begin per division. If an FA1 team drops, an FA1 team enters, and same for MA1. The waitlist fee of $10 is non-refundable. Please do not register for the waitlist if you are not fully intent on competing should a spot open up.
Event Details
This year’s event will feature a fantastic player pack that will exceed your entry fee in value. This year’s pack will include a performance jersey that will be gender specific, premium Innova Disc, and other awesome gear!
A Pool - top portion of MA1 field (combined rating)
B/C Pool - FA1 field, and lower portion of MA1 field
Note: B Pool will flip flop early/late tee times between MA1 and FA1. Friday will see FA1 teeing early, and Saturday will see FA1 teeing later.
Tentative Courses & Layouts for 2025
MA1 - Winthrop Arena Layout / Camp Canaan Long Layout
FA1 - Winthrop TPWDGC Layout / Camp Canaan Short Layout (adjusted pars and alternate basket positions)
The Camp Canaan course is available for practice with an open tee from 8AM to 2PM, with all players clearing the island by 5PM. Any extended practice round hours will be communicated to players directly, but these posted hours are the default always.
The Winthrop Arena Course will be available for practice dawn to dusk. The full Arena setup with OB and hazard lines will be setup and available for practice no later than October 1st.
We will also have merch payout provided by Disc Golf United for the top 40% of the field after the cut. And as always we will be providing water and a snack oasis for both courses to help keep you energized for your round.
