The UFOS cordially invite our beloved disc golf community to the annual Turkey Shoot at Stafford Lake Park.
This is a 1 day doubles tournament on Saturday, November 29th at Stafford Lake Park in Novato.
The format will be similar to previous years with one 18 hole round on the original main/upper course, and a second 18 hole round on the lower temporary course through the lakeside picnic areas.
Tentative Schedule (subject to change):
Players meeting at 7:45
Round 1 at 8:15
Round 2 will tentatively begin at 1:00
Park Gates open at 7:00
Please do not arrive early and park outside the gates
Park Entry and Parking is free at Stafford Lake Park
Registration Schedule
Early Registration for Sponsors: Oct 22 8:00PM
Open Registration: Oct 29 8:00PM
Registration Closes: Nov 26 8:00PM
This will be run as a Udisc event, and scoring and hole assignments will be via Udisc. Paper cards will be provided but Udisc will be the finalized place for scores. Players/Teams are responsible for entering scores for their card into Udisc and “Finalizing” scorecards in Udisc after each round. There is free WiFi offered by the Park near tournament central that will allow for scores to be uploaded. It is suggested that you login to Udisc prior to arriving to make sure you can access your card.
YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE YOUR AND YOUR TEAMMATE'S UDISC USER NAMES DURING REGISTRATION. Have this info available before registration opens. A free Udisc account is sufficient to play in Udisc events. You do not have to pay for any tier or pro version of Udisc. But you and your partner must each have your own Udisc account and username.
Team name: Keep it PG-13. Our goal is to grow our partnership with park staff and highlighting this amazing community event.
Space will be held for the women's and mixed divisions. There must at least be 2 teams in a division. If at the time registration closes there is only one team in a division, that team can transfer to the mixed division or amateur division or withdraw and the spot will be given to the wait list.
TDs have the right to place baggers in the correct division.
Early Registration for event sponsors opens October 22 at 8:00 PM. Sponsorship guarantees your spot in the event, which historically fills quickly once open registration begins. An exclusive disc golf towel with the event art will also be provided to sponsors (one each per team member).
Division caps are in place to save space for all divisions initially. Division caps will be adjusted to fill open spots from unfilled divisions with those on the waitlist. In other words, sign up and get on the wait list even if a division is full. However, AM division will not exceed 72 player/36 teams so that all teams in that division pay the same courses at the same time.
Shirts with event art will be available for $25 as an add on during registration. Shirts will be Softexk Long Sleeve Hooded Tees. Last day to add a shirt to your registration is Nov 6. We will try and have extras available for purchase on the day of the event, but don't count on it. If you want a shirt, please add it to your registration before Nov 6.
Optional Ace Pot. Entry is $5.
The speed of play is crucial as the days are much shorter at the end of November so account for being hungry, chilly weather, and the potential of wet weather. The event is rain or shine. Take that all into consideration when registering.
Bring your own water and lunch. There is no potable water in Stafford Lake due to a water main break. Please be sure to bring sufficient water for the day. There are flushing toilets and sinks with running water (not potable) located near the lakeside park and tournament central.
