About this tournament
HELLO everyone! And welcome to the 2025 Richmond Rumble!!!
A few things I would like to start off with is thanking each and every person for signing up for this tournament, and making the drive to come and compete at one of the most well put together courses in the state of South Dakota. The club and countless volunteers have worked endlessly to get this course into the shape it is today and making it enjoyable for everyone.
Before we get started there are a couple important things to go over and information to know before the tournament starts.
Hole assignments, will be posted on PDGA the night before.
PDGA live scoring:
EVERY person on your card is required per the PDGA to track scores of the round/rounds played. This is preferred to be done electronically, but there will be paper cards available to those without the use of a cellphone.
PLEASE PLEASE, log into the PDGA App/website to track scores, BEFORE your arrival at the course, we will have a cell booster, but with the amount of phones and already weak signal, things take a while to load. So to ensure you are logged in and ready to go, load this before hitting the road to the course.
PARKING:
We know parking at the course isn’t always the most convenient thing, beings we are very limited on parking space.
The road into the course is a ONE-WAY road, please be sure to use the correct entrance at the beginning of Forest Drive.
To ensure that you find a parking spot and make it in time for registration, we recommend leaving a bit earlier to the course to allow yourself enough time to walk to the registration area.
When you do enter the course. Do not park in front of any flagged, or painted areas, and leave plenty of room for our vendors to be set up.
DURING TOURNAMENT PLAY:
Even though this event is in late September, there’s still the probability of it being hotter weather, dress accordingly, and remember to hydrate. We will have water provided on selected holes, but always remember to bring your own if possible. The course is lengthy and staying hydrated is important.
Mosquitos are also a thing to possibly be aware of, make sure you have bug spray available if needed.
STATE PARK:
You are required to have a South Dakota park sticker to enter forest drive/ the course. Be prepared and get a pass ahead of time, whether that be a weekend pass or a year pass. Make sure it it presentable on your vehicle. A vehicle with no pass presented WILL be ticketed.
And now for the fun stuff!
FRIDAY NIGHT DOUBLES:
We will be hosting a flip doubles round Friday night September 26th. This will be a $5 flip doubles round and we will flip for partners at 6 and Tee off around 6:15. Please make sure you are on time if you plan on playing.
VENDORS:
Brett from Big Cat Discgolf will be the vendor at the 2025 Richmond Rumble. Big Cat has vended most of our events and is always a major hit.
The AADGA will also be selling chalk bags made by Sammy’s Stitches.
