A Certified Rules Official is a current PDGA member who has passed the PDGA Certified Rules Official Exam https://www.pdga.com/rules/exam and registered as an official with the PDGA. The Course Schedule is here: https://www.pdga.com/2025proworlds/courseschedule
Field Events:
New Award Structure: In past years, the top player in each division (MPO & FPO) received a trophy, and payouts were made down to 40% of the field. This year, we are introducing a more prestigious format. The host team will present three medals—Gold, Silver, and Bronze—similar to a track and field event. The top three men and three women will receive medals.
Payout Adjustments: The PDGA will be switching these field events to trophy only for the Finnish World Championships.
Note that the singles divisional capping is initially reduced due to spots being held for World Champions and the PDGA Reserved Berths they will be returned on the dates noted on the registration schedule.
Prize money and other financial benefits and obligations:
When registering, a player assures that they are aware of all legal and/or financial obligations that may follow from accepting a cash prize, e.g. taxes.
The player acknowledges that in order to receive a prize they must deliver all documents and information requested by the organizer (see Competition Manual 4.07).
The organizer will pay all prizes electronically to the prize recipient after the event and after receiving the prize recipient’s proper account info and required documents for taxation purposes and those tax documents have been approved by tax officials.
Failure to provide the documents and required information by February 8th 2026 results in the prize recipient forfeiting the prize.
Information regarding the mandatory documents and prize money payment procedures will be delivered to all registrants by email.
Participants are subject to all eligibility requirements per Competition Manual 1.01, Table 5 of the PDGA Tour Standards, and the PDGA Policy on Eligibility for Gender-Based Divisions.
Invitees are subject to all eligibility requirements per Competition Manual 1.01, and nothing in an invitation shall be construed to create a right of the recipient to participate in this event.
Four berths in MPO and four berths in FPO are set aside for PDGA Reserved Berths to be assigned by the PDGA if necessary. These spots will be released to the waitlist on 6/16/2025, if not assigned.
The $375 gross entry fee comprises: $350 towards payout value, a $10 facilities fee, a $5 Ace Pot entry fee, and a $10 non-refundable PDGA registration fee.
