The MVP Space Race is back! The Space Race is designed to be a nighttime ace race event featuring a two-disc player pack from the industry leader in glow technology. This year's discs are the Axiom Particle Eclipse Crave and the MVP Eclipse Atom!

There was a lot of positive feedback on the course layout last year! Expect some of the same holes and possibly some new ones! The course will be designed with shorter shots in mind to really put your ace run skills to the test; and walks between each hole will be kept as short as possible.

This is a flex start event, so come and play your round anytime that's convenient for you between 3:30-8:30pm! If you would rather play in the daylight, come early. If you'd prefer to play in the dark, come later.

PLAYER PACKS:
- All participants will receive the 2025 MVP Space Race player pack which consists of two limited edition glow-in-the-dark discs from your favorite MVP brands (check out the pictures)!

FORMAT:
- This is an Ace Race - the goal is to get an ace (hole-in-one).
- Unlike traditional disc golf play, you will only throw from the tee in order to score the most points (see scoring below).
- We will play one round of 18 holes.
- You may only throw the two discs included in your player pack, the Crave and the Atom.
- You will be allowed two consecutive throws off the tee pad for each hole (one throw with the Crave and one throw with the Atom).
- Add together the scores from your Crave throw and Atom throw to get your total score for the hole.

SCORING:
Points will be awarded as follows:
ACE = 100 points
CHAIN HIT = 50 points
METAL HIT = 20 point
TAP-IN BONUS = 1 point
After throwing both discs off the tee, proceed to your better lie and attempt a putt. If you make it in the basket, add one additional point to your score. If you miss, add nothing and proceed to the next hole.

Highest score wins!

COURSE:
- Oxbow Falls can be a physically challenging course. Please wear appropriate footwear and plan for a hike rather than a walk in the park.
- We are doing our best to make the layout efficient and limit long walks between holes.
- A map will be provided to help navigate the course and short tee positions. There will also be flags and markers along the course.
- If you plan to play in the dark, bring a flashlight!! The trails will be very dark!
- A couple UV lights may be available to borrow if needed (one per card - first come, first serve).
- Disc lights will be permitted.
- Baskets will be lit up with bright LEDs.

SCHEDULE:
3:30pm –8:30pm: Flex start! You are welcome to start your round any time during this window. If you do not have a card, we’ll help you form one. Tournament Central will be set up at the disc golf pavilion where you can check-in and pick up your player pack items.
5:00pm – 7:00pm: Potluck dinner. Feel free to bring a dish or snack to pass and hang out before/after your round!
9:30pm – 9:45pm: Prizes! If you win a prize but aren’t able to stay through the end, I’ll reach out to make arrangements to get your prize to you!
*10:15pm: Optional casual glow round!! We’ll need to do a walk through to pick up the basket lights and flags anyway, so why not throw a round along the way! If you want to join in for a quick glow round, meet at the pavilion at 10:15.

11:30pm: We have special permission to be at the park after dark only until 11:30pm, please plan accordingly.

DIVISIONS:
- Everyone will play the full 23-hole course with shorted tee positions averaging around 120-150’ to pin.

WINNERS:
- First place in both mixed and female general entry will each receive a new MVP Disc Station Lite!
- Second and third places in mixed and female general entry will also receive a prize!
- If we have at least three juniors registered in the junior division, we will provide prizes to the top three! (All juniors playing in any division will not leave empty handed, that’s a promise!!)

RAFFLE:
- We will be raffling off one MVP Black Hole Pro portable basket!!!
- All participants will receive one raffle ticket upon check-in. Additional tickets will be available for sale at the event: [5 tickets = $5] [20 tickets = $10]
- All proceeds from the raffle help cover tournament operation costs.

CTP:
- We’ll have a handful of CTP prizes available to win. Arrangements are still being made. CTP holes and prizes will be announced day of when you check-in for your round.

ACE POT:
- We have had a rolling ace pot for each event in the MVP Circuit Events Series and the current pot is $75!
- With the Space Race being the finale, we will have a CTP throw-off to determine the winner of the pot!
- The buy-in will be $5 on site (cash, card, venmo).
- Rules: A temporary basket and tee will be set up specifically for the throw-off. You will get two throws, one with each player pack disc. If one of your discs lands closer to the basket than the flag’s current position, move the CTP flag accordingly and mark your name. The first person to hit an ace on this hole will get the ace pot. If no ace is hit on this hole, the ace pot will be awarded to the CTP.

Dolfin Discs LLC is responsible for all refunds and cancellations.
Prior to October 17, you will receive a refund, minus applicable fees, if you choose to cancel. No refunds after October 17, 2025 at 11:59pm. Please let us know ahead of time if you are unable to attend the event, we will make arrangements to get your player pack and any other purchased items to you promptly after the event concludes. All unclaimed player packs will be donated to local youth to help grow the sport.
