Welcome to Fredrock 2026, Year 2 of the Snallygaster!! (New logo on the way) This is a huge year for Fredrock. We have our first ever A tier this year with pros on the way. This year, more than ever, we need your help. We are going to have more organized course clean-up days, youth events, and more community outreach. If you know someone who throws but doesn't make it to events BRING THEM OUT! If you see someone on the course playing alone or you don't recognize from Fredrock, SAY SOMETHING! We could be the strongest we have ever been with your help. Let's make it a year to remember, an awesome new chapter in Fredrock history begins.
The Snallygaster is our tribute to the local legend. In American folklore, the Snallygaster is a bird-reptile chimera originating in the superstitions of early German immigrants later combined with sensationalistic newspaper reports of the monster. Early sightings associate the Snallygaster with Frederick County, Maryland, especially the areas of South Mountain, Braddock Heights, Fish's backyard, and the Middletown Valley.
