2023 Sailing Open

This is a non-sanctioned tournament

100% of proceeds will be donated to the Special Olympics with emphasize on the Wounded Veterans Program of Blaze Sports, Blaze Sports, Adapted Aquatics and other programs that gather at Claystone Park.

Fee= $25 (Please pay the day of the event so we can guarantee all money collected goes toward the designated programs and not hidden registration fees.)

(1 round of singles and 1 round of random modified doubles) A free lunch will be provided on Saturday after the single's round .
$5 random doubles glow round Friday night March 17 beginning around sunset. Everyone will need to pay the day of the event this year.
We accept cash or checks can be made out to Special Olympics.

Each round, participants have the option of purchasing 5 mulligans for $5.
(Mulligans purchased for singles round must be used in singles round or lost.
Mulligans purchased for Doubles round can not be used by your partner.)
Mulligans will be used as a honor system.

Ace Pot - $2 Entry. If no ace is hit, then the money collected will be donated to the Sailing Open programs.
CTP - $1 Entry. There will be a lot of CTP prizes eligible to anyone that enters.

A few notes for Saturday, March 18

The normal $3 fee to enter the park is waived. You should not have to pay to enter on the day of the event. Tell the gate worker you are participating in the tournament.

Check-in - 8:00-9:00

During this time everyone will pay their entry fee and buy into the ace pot, ctp.'s, and mulligans for the Singles round.

Mandatory players meeting - 9:00

1st Round Starts - 9:30

Water will be on the course located in coolers.

Lunch - 12:00

Lunch will be provided for all players. During this time, you may purchase mulligans for the random doubles round.

Random Doubles starts 1 hour after the last single's card in turned in.


Awards and Raffle to follow doubles.

Hole sponsorship. If you or a company would like to sponsor a hole, it will be $50. Hole sponsors get 1 free entry into the tournament. If you get a business to sponsor a hole, they can nominate an employee from their company to participate in the event for free if they choose to.

If you would like to be a hole sponsor, please email me at [email redacted] with your name and the logo/name you would like on the hole sponsorship sign. You may pay for the hole sponsorship the date of the tournament.

If a sponsor needs a copy of the Special Olympics Charity Donation Form, those can be provided to you upon request.
