Ben, did you ever get an answer about this? I too have a significant about to spend with them. They made it sound like it was no big deal to wait and spend it later. Hope we aren't getting burned by not spending it on the spot.

It's very spotty with the t-storms, even when they say 60%+, it could be down right beautiful all day. I've never played a KOTL with a lightning delay, and only one sts event(Tahoe pro/am in 2018) with a short call off the course. That being said, I've never experienced this kind of consistent t-storm activity in my 18 years of living here. This has been going on for 3 weeks now. But I've only had to take shelter from rain/hail once so far, and never had lightning close by. I work outside all day, all around Truckee, West, North, and East shore of Tahoe.

Yeah I've been in Reno 7 years and same experience. This year has been different different thus far. I've had to get off the course and shelter at Lizard a few times in the last month. More exposed there though. I'd feel safer at the KOTL courses. Anyway, I hope the lightning skips KOTL but some rain rounds would be an excellent touch.

Coming from where Jason? There's a few small delays between the courses Friday, 10 to 20min total I'd say. And on lunch break/course change we'll all be in it together. What ever you do avoid going though Tahoe city Friday morning before the first round. It's horrible.

To add to this, try and avoid driving from Tahoe city to Tahoe Vista on Friday. It's a nightmare. If your coming from the truckee side, take 267 to Kings Beach then over to Vista. Avoid 89 through Tahoe city to Vista if at all possible.

Chris, Casey gives good advice (usually-lol). If your back is an issue then I I would use my cart at Truckee River, Tahoe Vista, and of course Bijou. That would have you carrying your bag for one course for day one and day two. Truckee River will be like cart path only golf on some holes which for tournament pace shouldn’t be a problem. Hole 11 uphill and 12 downhill but small and manageable. Tahoe Vista be prepared to leave your cart on 18 tee box when you play 16 and 17. The only other issues there are from hole 9 to 10 uphill and hole 10 to 11 uphill. Both manageable. Good luck out there! Let’s do this!!!
