About this tournament
$750 added cash
This is bound to be an exciting event. Not only is this the last B-Tier in the Lebanon area for 2023, but this event also marks the soft opening of the newest course in the Lebanon arsenal, Coleman Memorial Park. This will be your first opportunity to play this champion-caliber course and see the beast it actually is. The course makes great use of a vast wooded area and some historical ruins along the way. Lines are fair, but are tight the whole way through. An errant throw can leave you struggling just to get yourself back into the fairway.
This event is a 2 round B-Tier with $750 added cash to the pro fields. One round will be played at Coleman and the other played at South Hills. Pros and MA1 make up one pool and will start the day, setting the pace at Coleman. Pros and MA1 will play an alternating layout at Coleman- odd holes will play to the red(long) baskets and even holes will play to the yellow(short) baskets. All other divisions will start the day at South Hills, playing all yellow (short) baskets through Holes 1-9, and all red(long) baskets) through Holes 10-18. After an hour and 15 minute lunch, pools will switch courses. Pros and MA1 will play the same layout at South Hills that the amateurs played, but the amateurs coming over to Coleman will play all yellow baskets for the 2nd Round.
ALL players attending the event will receive a special piece of merchandise from the main sponsor of the course. Ams will receive a custom stamped event disc from Dynamic Discs, a Just Playing Disc Golf mini, and a pair of JP socks custom made by Darkside Disc Dyes. Pros will be playing for cash and the extra $750 added to the event, split among pro fields by division percentages. Ams are also playing for Just Playing merchandise credit by finish. Following is the financial breakdown for the event:
ALL Players Deductions: $3 per player for PDGA player fees, $1 per player for pavilion rentals and COI insurance costs, $1 per player for sanctioning fees, $3 per player for trophy costs, and $2 per player for TD fees. By these numbers, all players will have $10 deducted from their gross entry fee that pays for all tournament needs.
Am Deductions: An extra $30 will be deducted from all amateur entry fees for the player's pack that actually retails at a little over $40.
Prize Fund: Each pro player will have $50 of their entry fee added to the prize fund for the day. Each am player will have $10 of their entry fee added to the prize fund.
WARNING: Because of the size and pace of play at Coleman, the first round at Coleman will start before the first round starts at South Hills. ALL players will meet, check-in, and attend the player's meeting at Coleman. The first round at South Hills will likely start 30 minutes after the round at Coleman starts. Lunch times will likely be staggered as well, so please pay attention to the event page the day of the tournament for announced tee times and please read through the player's email when it arrives the Thursday night or Friday morning before the event.
