About this tournament
2 rounds of play
The 2022 Grand Rapids Disc Golfers United Club Championship is September 10th, 2022. The two courses are Brewer Park (Reds) and Jaycee Park in Kentwood. Players will need to participate in 15 league rounds between the 5 singles leagues (Garfield Park, Johnson Park, Jaycee Park, Brewer Park-PDGA Sanctioned and Old Farm Park), with 3 rounds at one course to establish a handicap to qualify for the Club Championship. You must also be a GRDGU club member to participate in the Club Championship, which is $50 and comes with a very nice members pack.
All players will meet at the pavilion at Brewer Park by the soccer fields to check in. Check in will end at 8 am sharp, no exceptions. If you show up at 8:01 am you will be turned away. Teams will be paired by an algorithm that ranks their handicap (no different than previous Club Championships) with the highest and lowest being paired, then the second highest and lowest, and so forth until all players are partnered up. Teams will then be evenly divided at random between Brewer Park and Jaycee Park for the first round. Teams will switch parks for the second round with a 90 minute lunch break.
All teams will report back to the pavilion at Brewer Park at the end of the day for the award ceremony.
