About this tournament
2 rounds of play
Just found out they are allowing camping on site this weekend. $25 per night for rv or pull behind campers. This includes power and fresh water.
Tent sites are free!

Couple bonuses I forgot to mention.
1. Kellogs of Kill Devil Hills has donated some discs for CTP prizes. They have donated enough that we will have them for all amateur divisions for BOTH rounds.
2. Jeff Bresendine has donated a Zuca cart that the OBX disc golf club will be raffling off during this event. Tickets will be $5 each or 3 for $10.
The 2020 Disc Jockey Open is an event designed to raise funds to finish a disc golf course in Powells Point NC. (10-15 minute drive from the OBX) There are currently 11 permanent baskets in the ground that we will use in the tournament layout. The remaining 9 baskets will be temp baskets. The tournament layout will consist of 20 holes and we will play 2 rounds.

Owen McCall is doing an amazing job building some mobile tee signs. They are available to look at in the picture tab of the tournament page. (Click more, then click pictures). He has currently finished the first 9 holes. They take him between 30 minutes and 1 hour to complete so as he sends them to me I will continue to post on this page. Please be patient. You will be able to look at these on your mobile device during the round. Owen has also posted the tournament layout on UDisc. You can search the Currituck County Rural Center and see the map and distances of each hole.

This course is in the construction phase so there is only one layout that everyone will play. It has been difficult to design a course that advanced/pro players will find challenging while making sure the rec/junior players still have a good time. Please give us feedback positive or negative so we can better prepare the course for future years.

There is not much for quick food in the immediate area. We will have Chick-fil-A delivered to the course. With the sandwiches being delivered they will cost $5 each.

The course works around the outer edge of multi use park that includes large indoor and outdoor horse riding arenas, playgrounds, campsites, fishing ponds, kayak launch, ect.
Player packs will be provided.
100% of proceeds will go into this course to push it to the finish line.
This will be a trophy only tournament for all amateur divisions.
