About this tournament

This is the 3rd year I've directed the Hope Open and we've changed things around quite a bit...
First, this year we're holding the tournament at Waterloo DGC in beautiful Waterloo County Park in Lebanon, OR. Second, this is a non-sanctioned event this year.
Anyway, here's the lowdown on this year's event:
The 2017 Hope Open, presented by Innova, is an annual disc golf tournament in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and benefits the American Cancer Society. This year, the Hope Open will take place on Saturday, October 21st. Tournament entry fees are $50 for amateurs / $60 or $55 for professionals / $35 for youth. Player's packs will include a custom-stamped Innova disc as well as an $18 (there may be a price adjustment for the youth signed up to play but they will still get a voucher) voucher to go towards custom-designed apparel from Events by Idea.
There will be 2 18-hole layouts setup that day. The permanent Waterloo course will be for all players except Rec Level and Youth Players. A second temporary course will be set up for the Rec Level and Youth Players.
Since relaunching the Hope Open tournament in 2015, we have raised almost $6000. This year we are holding the tournament at one of the up and coming courses in the state of Oregon, Waterloo Disc Golf Course. The course was designed by local disc golf enthusiasts and draws disc golfers from all over the State of Oregon. The course runs along the southern half of the parks and includes both open grassy fairways and difficult forested holes. Waterloo Park itself is a 128-acre park located on the banks of the South Santiam River. This beautiful park provides families with a great opportunity to fish, hike, swim and relax within its shady confines. Enjoy year-round camping, fishing, hiking, and picnicking in the fresh and beautiful landscape of Waterloo County Park.
Besides players, we are also looking for hole sponsorships ($25) as well as honor signs ($25). Show your support for a good cause with your business logo or purchase an honor size in memory of a loved one or in honor of a survivor. All proceeds from the tournament go towards the American Cancer Society.
Camping is available. Stay the night and play in Flood Stage Red, a C-Tier tournament hosted by the Disc Golf Club of Albany, the following day! Please contact Linn County Parks at www.linnparks.com/parks/waterloo/.
