Mission/Vision
Come join us to experience the joys of disc golf and hang out with some amazing ladies across the Kootenays! Over the years, our tournaments have become such a welcoming and fun-filled environment for players of all levels, whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned veteran. It is all about the hoots and hollers and the celebration of one another and now we’re extending the fun across the Kootenays!
Event Order and Locations
The first event will take place in
Cranbrook (formerly known as The Idlewild Endeavour). The course is short and beginner-friendly, but it’s also challenging enough to bring out plenty of laughs and memorable moments.
The second event will be held at
Creston, Irene and Bernie Van Hooft’s incredible Jackalope disc golf course, right on their property. What could be more special than that? It’s a beautiful spot, and we’re so grateful for their hospitality!
The third event is at a course that is nothing short of stunning. The
Fernie Lizard disc golf layout is flat, and there’s a lovely river nearby where you can cool off between rounds.
The final event is at Marsh Creek,
Fruitvale, which offers onsite camping. There is a mix of short and long holes and elevation changes and it is the perfect place for our season finale.
Series information - cost/player’s pack
For amateurs, the first event you participate in will be $45, and you’ll receive the extra special series players pack that’s worth more than the entry fee! Any subsequent event that you join will only be $20 and will include a smaller event players pack.
Pros will play for cash payouts as usual, with the option to purchase a shirt with their registration.
Division Decisions
If you're unsure of which division to sign up for, feel free to reach out! We are happy to help guide you. You can change your division after you have registered, so no worries if you want to adjust. I recommend anyone who qualifies for an age protected division to sign up for it (e.g., FA60+ for female amateurs 60 and over). Particularly for the Cranbrook event, which will be part of the Women’s Global Event and Canadian Women's (CWE) event you could win a global or national prize, even if you’re the only competitor in your division at the event! You’ll be competing with other women in your division worldwide and nationwide. We often have global winners and place-getters at our event! The Creston event is also a part of the CWE and the same idea applies to that.
Groupings for tournament
For this event, we’ll carefully form groups to ensure players are matched well, especially if they don’t know each other. If you’re a bit hesitant or signing up with friends, let us know, We’ll be happy to group you together for the first round! Typically, the second round will be by division and ranking.
Information specific to the series:
To qualify for series trophies and awards you need to have attended at least two events. The more events you attend, the better chance you have at winning!
Random draw
During the final event, there will be a random draw where each participant will receive 1 ticket/entry into a draw for a major prize and other prizes. 4 events played = 4 tickets, 1 event played = 1 ticket. You do not need to attend the final event to claim your prize/s.
