Welcome to The Flight of the Valkyries. The KDGC Valkyries would like to acknowledge that our courses are located on the unceded ancestral territory of the Tkemlúpsemc or “people of the confluence,” where the North and South Thompson rivers connect. Our city name is an English interpretation of the Secwepemc word, Tkemlúps, meaning where the rivers meet, and you can experience this atop Rose Hill on the greens of 13 and 14.

These PDGA sanctioned C Tier tournaments were designed for players to experience tournament play at the lowest tier while either building or creating a player rating. They are typically low cost to play, bare-bones, no pomp & splendor. Simply to celebrate the sport and bring players together for a tournament that doesn't take the whole day!
Normally, when signing up for a PDGA sanctioned C Tier, players who are not PDGA members pay an additional $15 to play.
However, with this series being designed for women of all ages and abilities to experience tournament play, the PDGA has generously sponsored this series by
waiving all PDGA non-member temporary fees. So, you can be an experienced veteran of the sport, or someone who just heard about it and wants to see what the competition side is all about and the barriers to entry have been made that much easier!
Carrie and Elizabeth believe that by creating a space of inclusivity, fun and development, more women will feel confident in playing in tournaments, being part of the bigger community and maybe even travel with the Kamloops Valkyries to attend other women's events.

- GIGOGR style tournament
- No player packs BUT we will celebrate with a trophy for each podium finisher in each division
- Commemorative Event Tag for each player! Use this as incentive to play all three tournaments!
The PDGA has generously sponsored this series by waiving the PDGA non-member fee for all registrants!
Note there will be no prizing for Am winners but Pros will be paid out cash in accordance with PDGA guidelines

$20 for non KDGC members
At the time of registration, you will be asked to choose member or non-member. We will be checking our club member list the morning of the event to ensure that all registration payments align with how each player registered. Those who are not club members, but chose that they were, will be asked to pay the additional $5 before they can play.
If you plan to play all three events as well as Valkyries League, Club League or Club Doubles, rather than pay the extra $5 every event, consider becoming a KDGC member for only $30/year!
